CincySportsFan
Since everyone else has lost interest... First of three tonight against the second-place Brewers. Sonny Gray vs. Chase Anderson tonight.
16thBBall Fan
Yeah, that’s right, blame it on the base runner because you have ANOTHER terrible at bat!
sumoroyal
Reds had runners on first and second with Sonny Gray on second. Votto up and two outs and Gray takes off for third and Votto flys out. Votto was ticked that he ran and Bell was fist bumping Gray as he came into the dugout. I honestly don't believe that nobody on the team or in the dugout knows situational baseball. Absolutely no reason for him to run. Terrible Baseball.
sumoroyal
Yeah, that’s right, blame it on the base runner because you have ANOTHER terrible at bat! I will give Votto a bit of a break here. A lot of batters don't like runners in motion when they are batting.
sumoroyal
Votto up again with two on and lines a single to center to tie the game. Suarez kills the rally by striking out looking. Tied 1-1. Many Reds rallies has ended with a strike out looking. I guess Reds hitters are so arrogant that they think that border line pitch will always be called a ball. They would rather leave the decision with the umpire than to swing the bat.
16thBBall Fan
AGAIN, WORST baserunning team in the history of baseball, have to be, game after game!!
CincySportsFan
Reds take a 2-1 lead thanks to a hustle double by Puig and a 2-out single by Iglesias. In between, another baserunning blunder, this time by Ervin.
MJAlltheWay24
I will give Votto a bit of a break here. A lot of batters don't like runners in motion when they are batting. I feel like I remember reading that Joe Morgan used to hate when Griffey Sr. would do it.
MJAlltheWay24
How long do we have Sonny Gray?
MJAlltheWay24
I'd say a 2 run bomb by Suarez more than makes up for the earlier backwards K. Reds 4-1.
CincySportsFan
How long do we have Sonny Gray? Three more years, with an option for a fourth. I think.
futurecoach
I'd say a 2 run bomb by Suarez more than makes up for the earlier backwards K. Reds 4-1. Even though we all would love for Votto to get more hits when people are in scoring position like he did earlier in this game. Things that go unnoticed though, is how his simple base hit with two outs just now. Allowed the inning to continue and gave Suarez that opportunity to hit a 2 run homerun. Guys who get on base are just as important as the guys who drive them in. It takes both things happening to score runs. Votto is now 6th all time in runs scored for the Reds. Chances are he will finish third all time by the time his career is over.
CincySportsFan
Garrett v Yelich with 2 on and 2 out. Perhaps the key matchup of the night coming up.
sumoroyal
If you want to know why the Reds are losers, Lorenzen just walked two batters in a 4-1 to get to Yelich. Garrett coming in to face him.
MJAlltheWay24
Reds get out of the mess they created unscathed. 4-1 top 8th.
