Finale of the series features call-up Lucas Sims taking on Jhoulys Chacin this afternoon. After the miracle on Monday, and last night's beat down, the Reds offense will likely go hide in a hole and offer no support for Sims. I'd say they have about as much of a chance to sweep this thing as LRCW does of becoming president of the Dusty Baker fan club AND me advocating the return of Homer Bailey.

No doubt they lose now after his name was mentioned here.

They never had a chance to begin with.

Senzel with a leadoff single, then gets taken out of the game. Looks like maybe a case of vertigo. Ervin in to pinch run, and steals 2nd on the second pitch.

Puig with a 2-out walk, followed by a sharp single by Van Meter (starting for Suarez today), gives the Reds a 1-0 lead.

Scooter follows with an RBI double to make it 2-0.

Second and third with two out for Iglesias.

I was hoping Senzel was past all the vertigo stuff because I haven't heard about it in a while. I guess it can pop up from time to time.

I love the Reds in the first inning.

Sims strikes out the first two before issuing a four-pitch walk. Braun then, you guessed it, takes him deep. All tied at 2, at the end of 1.

Sims mows down the first two hitters and then decides he don't have to throw strikes. Walks the third hitter and goes to a 3-2 count to Braun and a fast ball high in the strike zone goes to Bernie Brewer. 2-2 after one inning.

Ervin with a two-out single and a boot by Braun puts him at 2nd. Votto with a single to right scores him, giving the Reds a 3-2 lead.

Votto with an sharp RBI single scoring Ervin, Reds up 3-2.

WOW! Vanmeter just C-R-U-S-H-E-S one to right-center field to lead off the 3rd.

VanMeter with a long Home Run, Reds up 4-2.

Reds lose another one to injury. This time Graterol taken out after a foul tip back into the mask.

Sims had been on a roll, but gives up a solo shot to Hiura to start the 5th. Reds lead cut to 4-3.
