I did witness this. The Wildcats had a wonderful turnout, 40 nice looking athletes and I know of about 15 more on the baseball team. Really impressive on the Turf, and with some Newport Wildcat pride. Looks like the feeder systems are starting to pay off, middle school and NFF and with a great freshman coaching staff that has been competetive, consisted and disciplined.

Brandon Alford, and the Klauss Brothers should have a pretty good year for Newport. Can't wait to see these boys pitch. good luck!

Watch out for the Wildcats of Newport!! They are the defending District champs, and they have their whole team returning. The Cats players consist of players from several former AABC, Division 1, and Greater Cincinnati Ciy Championship teams. These boys know the game and they can play it. Their pitching staff will be one of the top 3 teams in the 9th Region. Good luck to all the teams.

I have been asking people and coaches and even Refs, no one can honestly answer the question without a little doubt. How many time-outs per half, 30 and Fulls????

Highlands should handle the Bred's pretty well. Home Court advantage the Birds are a lot bigger down low, and their Guards will be to much! H-60 NCC-49

Look for the Breds to be right there again. The whole backfield is back plus they have Chris Kelly and the Cain youngman. And Look for players like Justin Jones and Ben Parr to have outstanding years. Good Luck!

The Bluebirds of Highlands seem to be really physical in their spring football. I attended last years training session, I thought I would see a few agility drills, maybe run some dry offense. It was no holds bar! There was about a Hundred of them they were like marines, it look like they had been at it for months. Really impressive, Good luck!

What if the student played V for 1 year started playing the following year, and then there was a custody move from guardian back to her father, after the first game. Could she play for the school district she moved to??

I know that Highlands has Katie Allen. I think the Sanfoss girl plays the point for NCC.

Who are some of these young birds that have to step it up?? Grubbs, Hogue, "Flying Brian" Beck, and Buten, should have some pretty good years.

Look for the Newport Wildcats to be a sleeper this year they have a couple few nice arms and a lot of young talent, remember they won the 36th District last year.

It's great to show the school spirit but the underwear thing is a little far fetched these days in times. But good luck and keep cheering your teams on, with class!!

When you have such an event, everyone gets to strut their stuff. The great year that everyone had. And you really see that the coaching staff is remarkably brilliant. When I attended, it was an honor and a pleasure to wittness something that so many people has dedicated their lives toward and how much it means to the players, coaches, parents and fans!!! Thanks!!! I can't wait till nex't years.

I think that it's just great for the youngmen. They well deserve everything they got coming to them. It just seems sad that it ever has to end. Great Job! and Good Luck!!

The Wildcats looked good tonight, quick and jumping out of the gym. But are they ready for the cross-town rival shootout #2. I think so, the Bred's guards just dont match up with the Wildcats and if the Darnell is going to play like he did tonight, NCC dont have anyone to stop him. But good luck both teams!!

Don't worry, as Coach Mueller tells the boys. They are not football players they are Navy SEALS!!!

These type games are set up for the upset! If Newport turns the Housley kid loose NCC does not anyone to stop him, and the Cats defense will be to much for the Bred's little and young guards.

Why not be reallistic and positive so the boys or players at least can dream. The Birds do have D1 caliber players and they're going to make us all believers!!!

Look for Holy Cross to give the Bulldogs all they want. The Sorrell kid has to be one of the top scorers in the region, Easton and the other guard can score to, I would not be surprise if they don't win. HC coaching staff does a wonderful job. HC-61 H-59
