I like all of the guys they have coaching down there, theres a couple of teachers down there and a couple of guys that are just trying to help out. If you really wanted to try to build a sucessful program you have to bring in quality coaches, and give these other gentleman Jobs at the Jr. high level. No disrespect to anyone! Sometimes you have to do what's best for the program. Good luck Cats! And, I guess the People that are incharge will have to make some changes.

All of these great Bluebird traditional state champion teams, the key to most of their success was all of the great Linebackers! From the Rollers days, thru great hiitters like the Dempsey's, Dusty Cottinghams and Grover. Look at 2007's crew, Ryan Ball,(Georgetown), Luke Stein,(Gardner-Webb),and Branden Hurrt(?) obvious one the best in the state (15-0). But, These next few years these youngmen at the LB 's positions are probly all Div I players.

Seems like the ninth region is really starting to put some talented pitchers out. Well I witness the Robinson young lady from the Conner Cougars play the other day, and this girl really has some nice pitches and she really has great control. Is she number #1 or #2 in Northern Ky.?

My favorite one was, In the state championship game when he stole the ball at half court, dribbled behind his back and went down and dunked the ball with both hands. That was a play that made you feel proud about Kentucky high school Basketball. Thanks and good luck!!

KC, They would not let CC play D because he was QB. Truth being known he's the toughest Kid on the team. And as far as BB Def., have you ever seen him box out or dive head first for a looxe ball. BTW you should have seen him play in the youth leagues. AGGRESSIVE!!! Good luck Wildcats, Now about the Coaches?

I think the Bulldogs of Cov. Holmes will be just a little to much for the Boys from Bardstown. But Good Luck to both Teams!!

If that is true, about the Collins young man. Cody is down right an animal on Defense, he is really aggressive. He would most definetly be a plus to the program. Good Luck Wildcats!!

IMO, seems like that would be a good Middle School coaching staff. Of course Meyer would be HC, Put Pomp as Kicking Coach.

Just because you may have played a couple years of football, does'nt mean you can coach. IMO the players have no respect for these coaches, they are negative and they can not relate to the kids. Unlike disciplined and sturdy successful men coaches such as Pic and Upchurch could be just what the Cat need to get them where they want to be. No direspect to anyone IMO you have to make moves like this for the better of your program.

When the tounament is over there will be a lot of talk about a few Covington Holmes boys!! Like Ricardo and JJ Johnson and the Henderson youngman.

Coach Turner was a great player for the Wildcats. And now is a good teacher, and a great coach for the Bluebirds. Someone had said, that he could teach a one legged player how to pull and trap. :lol:

Unlike schools like Highlands, Some schools believe if its baseball season they re going to concentrate on that sport!!

You are not kidding!! Freshman Shaun Klauss beat #4 in NKY Highlands last year and he also won District MVP honors 2007.

What kind of numbers did they have out? And did they have any no shows??

IMO the wildcats should move Mr. Picarillo, and Coach Upchurch to the varsity. And move the younger inexpierince coaches ( Partin, Meyers, and manager/trainer Tony Pompillio, to Middle school or Freshman. No disrespect to anyone I think it would be a good move for the program.

This could be the beginning of a great thing. Maybe, the varsity might play again, like they used to in the late 70's.

Agreed, QB coach Gallichio should move up and coach varsity. The man knows the game, he was a great player and state champion. And if he could'nt teach you how to QB, he could get out there and show you how to do it.
