The great state of KY, has done away with 7 on 7 competition with other schools in the month of June. In an attempt to bring more "basketball" players out to football, they have given the month of June to basketball and said 7 on 7 can take place in July, right before the real football begins. Not a good decision!

Florence, is that just outside of Georgetown? I didn't think Scott Co. was playing any road games this year(jk). I will go with Boone. I think Scott Co. is easy to stop because they are so predictable. If a defense studies their games films, they can tell where the ball is going on every play. With that said, Scott Co is very good at running what they run. This would be a good game to travel and go see.

Great showing by BE and the west. I guess I was proven wrong. The west was very well represented.

Best 3 teams in this class come from the east. Bell, Boyle, and Lex. Cath. No way the west can compete with Bell or the other 2 for that matter. Bell wins.

Not sure, but this should be a mirror image game. Dogs coach was with TC's coach and is basically running the same systems from what I have heard.

How can you make that statement? They just won a state championship last year. Plus if you look up a few post, their freshmen team apparently beat your freshmen team last year.... What's that mean for the rocks?

Would we all think it is due justice if they were at one of the private schools? I totally agree with everyone that these two young men should be allowed to play. I am just curious if we all would be feeling the same if it was a private school instead of a public.

How have the kids adjusted to the new system? I would imagine that the "air raid" philosophy is a bit different then most of those kids have been used. Ray was a bit more "grounded" in his attack. What about defensively, what type of defense are they running?

This is what makes good football teams great! Both of these programs will schedule and compete against the best competition they can in order to get to where they want to be at the end of the year. My hat is off to both teams, their coaches, and the players! They earn everything they get at the end of the year now.

I bet they are not just wearing helmets! I could be wrong but I bet they are in uppers.

Are any teams having problems practicing in just helmets? Seems to me that it would be difficult to get good pad level and hand placement without shoulder pads on.

NO That is the point of this thread. The Lexington public schools cannot compete, year in and year out, with Louisville. Some have hinted to it already in this thread, but why don't the Lex. Publics schedule the Louisville teams in the regular season and see what it is like to play "with" them. Lafayette did last year when they played Trinity and they took a beating. My hats off to them and their coaches for at least trying to put that program on a level that can compete. Old saying: To be the best, you have to beat the best. You can't beat them if you don't schedule them!!

I think the Aumiller kid is a slot or 2 receiver. This Vogelsang kid is a "true" TE. He looks to have the size to block like an O-linemen but still run and catch like a receiver. Either way, both of these kids are top notch in the state of Ky.

Who was the east mvp or did they not give one?

Cynical How successful was this coach, and why do you think he did not get the job? I agree with most, this sounds somewhat crazy. Fayette Co. keeps us scratching our heads once more. I wish nothing but the best for this coach and his staff. Where will he get his staff from? Will he inherit the current Dunbar coaches? This is going to be an interesting story to watch unfold this season.

Somebody has to know something about this job!! What are they waiting on? Who are they/ have they talked with? When will they hire.
