Boyle County/West Jessamine predictions
I really don't think parking will be that much of a problem around Centre. There are plenty of street parking around Centre and the downtown area. This would be much closer than walking from Boyle's parking lot. During the Brass band festival over the last 20 years, I've always found a parking spot within a "real easy walk" and the crowd at the festival is a lot larger than than the anticipated crowd this Friday night. I also attented Centre first night game this year and the place was packed and still didn't have a problem with parking even then. Granted, it might be a small inconvenience, but in the end our REBELS will be just 3 games away from being called CHAMPIONS.:banana::banana::dancingpa

Boyle County/West Jessamine predictions
They better, but I'm sure they will. Centre has had fireworks for many occasions and I can't see why they wouldn't allow Ernie and family to celebrate Bolye's achievements on Friday night. One advantage for my family is, since the game is a little further away from Bluegrass subdivision, my dog Maddie may not hear all of the fireworks going off. It may be a unusally peaceful Friday night for her. I'm also sure there won't be a problem for anyone to get in to the ballgame at Centre. Go REBELS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dancingpa

This is a real good team, but I think the Duggins/Tamme/Leffew/Overstreet/Miller/Quinn/Webb/Smith era (I know I'm leaving out a lot of other real good players, but I'm on my lunch break) speaks for itself. That was a great time. I believe this year is going to be the start of another great era.:dancingpa

I watched the highlight of all of the games played last night and I didn't see anything close to what the conditions were at East Jessamine.

Best LB'ers in Ky.
Hey PP92, You live here in Kentucky, went to Bowling Green High School, it's about time you bleed blue (Ky blue) or some other Ky school's color ( I hope not). Enough of the Dukies and the Seminols (sp). You have to agree that Lamar would look better in Ky blue than garnet and red. Still luv ya though, see you at work. GO REBELS and CATS.:ylsuper: I'm upping the score Boyle 63 E Jess 00

If they do, the game may be cancelled Friday. Lincoln Co closed because of sickness and the school officials called off the game and tried to reschedule the Pulaski Co game.

Boyle County/West Jessamine Predictions
I think Coach Pardue brought in a coach that he use to work with to call the offensive plays. I believe his last name was Davis. He might have been from or coached in Virginia or WV. He supposedly knew the same offense that Pardue had been running. History tells us now, that he didn't. :idunno: Boyle by 49 this friday.:ylsuper:

Boyle County 48 Lafayette 6
I believe his longest run was in the 3rd qtr when he was running towards the scoreboard on Boyle's sideline and the db tackled him around the 15 yard line.

Boyle County/Pikeville Predictions
You said the best. Our Rebels our young men and are easily distracted. I'm just hoping they don't read all of the posts about how great they are and all of this talk about them being unbeatable goes to their heads. I know we have some level-headed kids on this team, but kids will be kids. Some adults do the same thing. I know being confident is great, but over-confident can get you beat sometimes. GO REBELS, BEAT PIKEVILLE !!!!:banana:

Boyle County/Pikeville Predictions
I hope the Rebels really work hard on their pass defense this week and every week. I've always said the last few years, a good passing team will give us fits. Lex Cath has a returning qb back this year and this could present a problem. GO REBELS:banana:

Onside kicks are another thing, that would kinda be uncalled for late with a big lead. Is this more than a local paper speculating or did the JC coach tell them this? If its true then shame on our coach but Im guessing its early and this is all talk. Bottom line is Congrats to Boyle and their fans for the beating you handed out and good luck the rest of the way. This is one JC fan that will be rooting for you. I second that. I met several JC fans before and after the game and they were as gracious before as well as after. Good luck the rest of the year and I hope we will be heading to Paintsville next:thumb: year.

2009 Boyle County
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First of all let me apologize for adding this to the BCHS football thread. I thought this would be a great place to put it since there are lots of Rebels fans (that includes me, 2 to 3 times a day during football season) and former BCHS wrestlers checking this site out. I know there is a wrestling site and I have put this thread there as well. Boyle County is starting a wrestling program this fall. They haven't had one since the late 80's. The turnout so far is about 40 kids. Probably by time the season starts these numbers will go down, but still an impressive start. More than half of these kids do not play any other sports so this give them the opportunity to be on a team and compete like Boyle's other athletic teams do. Several football players have siged up as well, but hopefully won't join the team until mid December. Former middle school football head coach Keith Smith will be the head coach with Ron Barbado (former wrestling coach in the 80s), and other former wrestlers from that timeframe being the assistant coaches The only drawback is that there are no funds for this programs to start with. The school system is not providing any funding this year and only will provide transportation and officials for next year season. Everything from mats, helmets, uniforms (singlets), and etc. will be needed to start up the program. The program needs around $15,000, maybe less if they can get some used mats for a decent price. All of the coaches are volunteering their time to get this program off the ground and running. Fundrasiers will begin very soon because the practice season starts Oct. 15th. If anyone knows any business or individual that would like to donate money or equipment, please send me a private message. Now back to the current subject, FOOTBALL. I hope to see all of you at the "Come out to meet the Rebel football team" tonight at Rebel Stadium. There will be food and an auction as well as a punt, pass and kick for the kids. It should be fun for everyone. :jump: Go REBELS. We're down to only 2 weeks before the season starts.:dancingpa

Anyone remember The Dickinson System?
OOOPPS again. No disrepect to Nicky, but I forgot to include him. He and I played and graduated together. Starting his junior year, he led the team in rushing and touchdowns in the first 3 or 4 games (by a large margin) then he hurt his knee and was out the rest of the season. This was the year Henry Parks was a senior and either led the state in rushing and/or scoring for part of the that year. He wouldn't have done that if Nicky hadn't got hurt. He was really good but he wouldn't have had as many touches if the TANK had stayed healthy. Nicky went on to have a very good carrer at EKU and a national championship as well. Henry went on to UK and was doing good, as was Venus (monster), before trouble set in. In our senior year (not to rub it in, since we got beat on a flea-flicker play the year before and that I'm a Boyle Countian and FAN now), we went to Boyle and Nick had a great game. We won 60-0 and had a great time going back to Hogtown. I think Kevin Rye caught the pass the year before that beat us. Is this correct? Go REBELS :ylsuper::dancingpa:banana:
