Labman

I'm not sure, but he did transfer to Taylor County during Christmas break after moving there with his parents. He started playing immediatley. I heard that the job his father had in Cambellsville didn't work out and the family is moving back to Danville. This is all hearsay, but it's still is interesting to talk about. Boyle would definitely be big in the paint next year and for the QB, whoever it will be, there will be some big atheletic guys to throw to. I think we should know something by the time the "dead period" is over with.

By the way, I heard about Leonard Macon from a Danville football parent who was at the 7 on 7 passing game at Danville Thursday night. He said that everyone was talking about. I was surprised to hear that he would enroll at Boyle instead of Danville, but Boyle has got a few players from Danville lately.

I just heard that 6'6"" Leonard Macon is moving back to Danville and will enroll in the Boyle School system. He's going to play football and basketball at Boyle and then make a decision on what sport to play, at UK (football, that is ,if the scholarship is still there from UK) or try to get a scholaraship for basketball somewhere. I think he got invited to the UK elite camp this summer. Does anyone know about any of this?

Does anyone know what type and size bat that is required for middle school? Big barrel? -3, -5,-whatever? and for high school too. Is middle school baseball govern by the khsaa? Or by the conference they play in? Anyone want to respond?

Trust me. Not all of the assistant coaches were overlooked. One, I know for sure declined.

Any predictions? Comments

Where does Chris and Brian see action at? Special teams?

I heard Jacob Smith is going to start.

I agree. Duggins was better.

I've always thought that the Cantrall's rankings were bogus, as well as the Litkenhouse rankings ( I know the spelling is wrong ). Too much on high scoring games or deficits. Steve Spurrier would love these rankings when he was at Florida.

By far tougher than Lafayette's schedule. Does anyone take the Cantrall rankings seriously? Run up the score on someone and you jump in the polls.

Thanks Rebel. I must have missed that thread. RebelC3PO - Larmar is a beast. I though he did a good job in the vasity game against Henry Clay. I saw him play a lot last year in middle school. He's not only a good football player but an EXCELLENT STUDENT too. Go Rebels vs the Admirals !!!!!!!!!!!

Larry Vaught in the Danville Advocate reported today that Boyle's freshman beat Trinity's freshman last weekend. Does anyone have any info on this game?

Let's not forget about Nicky Yeast. Lot of people don't remember this, when Nicky and I were Juniors, he was the leading rusher on the '76 team in the first 3 games before he injured his knee and was out for the season. Then Henry Parks got most of the carries and the rest is history with Henry (Berea game, henry rushed for 400+ yards) Back to Nicky, he was a stud, our senior season, he came back full force and he went on to Eastern and won a national championship.

Derrick Johnson ?????????? Fine person and his dad was one of my favorite coaches. Dennis, I understand but Derrick.

WhAT???????????????

I agree. What a great job the Rebels did coming back tonight and to take the lead. This game will let the boys (and the fans) know that they can have a very good season. REBEL - Was the score really 40-14 in the 4th? I thought the most we were down was 19. Whatever the score was, I'm just as proud as you were and I think there will be alot of wins down the road. This HC team was for real.

Now I remember. There's too many Smiths to keep up with. Go Rebels, Beat HC

Which Smith was this ? Just wondering.

Amen.

Jacob Smith is not related to Chuck Smith. He is the son of the former middle school head coach and former long time assistant, Keith Smith. Keith was a Boyle football palyer and wrestler in the mid 80s.

Jacob Smith. He was the starting QB at Perryville, Boyle Middle, and shared QB duties with Mason his freshman year.

In all due respect to Perry, he played a good game the other night. Better than any game last year. Him being "horrible" is way out of line. He did overthrow a few, especially when he threw to his right, towards the sideline. I do agree though, that he would be better suited at a WR position. He's 6'5 and would be a great target that would be hard to defend for a 5'10'' DB. With Aumiller (WR) being 6'5" too, that would be a great combination. What about the Smith kid at QB? He was running neck and neck all summer with Perry and Mason up until the last week of practice. He' been a QB most of his career, until last year when Mason decided he wanted to be a QB and Smith was moved to WR. Perdue must have had second thoughts about Smith to bring him back at QB. He's a more aggresive type of QB, a better runner, similar to a Duggins or a Smith. This brings up another point. Boyle's lack of a their QB running ability. Duggins and Smith were very good at running the ball. Several times a game, they would put the ball in the back's belly, then pull it out and gain positive yards. Many times, alot of yards. With our current QB, I don't see much of that. Smith or Mason are better runners. Any thoughts on this??

I remember Jacob Tamme running this play 3-4 times a game when he played for Bolyle and it worked great everytime time. Unfortunately, it didn't Sat night. It was definitly a unforced fumble. I'm not sure if it was the exchange or if the back dropped it after he took the handoff. I feel much better about Boyle now than I did after the scrimmge against Madison Central. They really moved the ball well Sat night.

Anyone know the best route and where to park? What is the admission price and do they charge for parking?
