After watching Mercer play Anderson last night. Boyle should win big.

Another short game with the clock running.

From the looks of last year, including the start of this season, these are two programs going in opposite directions.

Boyle big.

With Danville being down, (though one should fear a wounded Admiral) it appears that the Lafayette game will be much more of a barometer for the Rebels to gauge themselves than this contest.

Mercer run defense is not bad but their secondary is full of holes. Since the rebels are still getting their passing game smoothed out the game may not be the blowout many expect. Maybe 28 or 35 to 7.

Mercer County is just young. They start 11 sophomores out of 22 starters and these sophomores are coming from freshman and jv seasons from last year that was lucky to get games in. They are also the victims of a brutal first 5 games on the schedule. I still fully expect them to contend and possibly win their district. Their schedule gets a whole lot easier for a group of young kids like them after next Friday.

I definitely agree about the Lafayette game being a barometer for this Boyle County team. And then the next week, LexCath.

Rees should be able to run for at least 150 yards on them if he plays a full 4 quarters. Eric Shaw had a good game on the ground against Mercer. Boone should also have his best passing game to date. I think Mercer County will have a hard time stopping Rees whether he is running the ball or catching the ball.

Boyle County coming off a bye week for this game. The Rebels have had alot of time to prepare for this and I know they were hating that bye week so I'll say Boyle County wins BIG because they are ready to knock some heads. Go Rebs! :ylsuper:

Boyle by a lot, no one in the area can play with the Rebels this year.
