I seriousely doubt that Mercer would drop Boyle from their schedule due to being whipped. Unlike Anderson Co., Mercer won't drop someone from their schedule just because they got whupped.

I really don't think Mercer is as bad as many of you believe. Thay have some athletes and some good size. Plus a new head coach. Not to mention things had gotten pretty bad there last year with their coach. Will they win? No. But they are better than you think.

I believe Mercer County would have been 3A for that year. Honestly, I believe they wouldn't have came out of 3A with a title that year. They were indeed a good team that year but if they would have played in their respected class I believe things would have turned out different. However, we'll never know.

 

I disagree. I feel they would have beaten Bowling Green and that they would have given CovCath a great game. They would have been 3A since they are in 5A now with all of the other 3A schools. IMO, they were easily one of the top 5 teams in the state that year.

Amen!! You never show up to a game thinking it is a sure win. If that were the case, we would have won against Mercer 2 and 3 years ago. Because, IMO, we were the better team and did not win. Sorry to bring up the past. But I did to help make my point. I will say this against any team we play this year.

 

Do not bash me for that comment. I will not reply. But there was no doubt in my mind we should have won those 2 games. Because in my opinion, we were a better team and I still think we were but lost. That is only my opinion.

IMO, Mercer's main 2 problems are youth and lack of speed. Youth is OK because they are gaining experience. But, the lack of speed concerns me. Yes, we have some fast guys but fast doesn't always equal speed.
