Congrats to the Rebels! Guarantees bragging rights for a year. :thumb:

The game was actually very competitive for 1 1/2 quarters. Then, with less than a minute to go in the 1st half, Boyle scored to go up 14-3 at the half.

Danville must have thought the game was called off at halftime because they never bothered to return to the field in the 2nd half. Boyle basically ran over them throughout the 3rd and 4th quarter and ultimately the continuous clock rule kicked in.

During my 17 years in Danville, I've never seen an Admiral team quite like this one, and I'll just leave it at that.

Go Rebels!!

Great game for the Rebels. Danville played Boyle hard the 1st Q. or so then Boyle started to play.

6-9-104 yards passing 1 TD

30-319 rushing 6 TDS

10 1st down

3 penalties for 30 yards

Reese 17-194 yards 4 TDS

Hester 3-68 yards

Didn't the same thing happen last season? I seem to recall an article in which Sam Harp said losing was one thing, but quitting, especially against a rival, was another.

I was pretty close with prediction.

Boyle 49

Danville 7

Do you think the field conditions took away from Mcshara's effectiveness? Cutting and changing directions is a big part of his game. Sounds kind of silly since he scored 4 td's. But it sounded like Danville bottled him up for a large part of the game.

I was trying to get into the discussion but someone just busted a bottle in my driveway and then went around screaming at everyone in our neighborhood. They actually had a person hanging on the back of an SUV (outside) while it was going about 50 MPH down our subdivision road.

Anyways...back now!

I believe that the field conditions where part of it. But I think you got to give Danville some credit the 1st Q. They kind of bottled up Boyles run game. :ylsuper:

Although I dont recall hanging out of a moving vehicle. Atleast not at 50 mph. Maybe around 30 or so...

I don't mind hanging out of a vehicle - that's on you - but please don't bust bottles in my driveway!

Got to give credit where credit is due. Im a Boyle fan but I really hope Danville gets it goin the rest of the year. I always pulled for them every game but one.
