He's right, but I thought Lamar Dawson softened up that Danville defense before Rees busted out in the 3rd quarter. When Danville was on offense, they could do absolutely nothing. It took a dumb luck catch by the receiver in the 1st quarter to get them to the 1 yard line and they still couldn't get a td from the 1. Truth be told, if Boone hits Lamar with the wide open pass on 3rd and long in the 2nd quarter, we are up 21-3 at the half and not 14-3. I never really liked Harp and after seeing he said that, I feel validated in my dislike for him. :madman:

 

Danville never should have scored a point, let alone 9. It took his starters against our jv with 2 minutes left in the game for them to even get a td, was that Rees' doing as well? I'm looking forward to next year's game already. I hope Harp is back next year so we can see how we do without Rees. He still hasn't found an answer for Lamar.:ohbrother:

I can get a little carried away sometimes, I just try to make sure I stay within the rules.

 

It just bothers me that he wants to pin the whole team's success on Rees, which we owe a lot of our success to Rees and his spectacular season, but it is still taking a team effort to beat teams the way we are beating them. Our o-line is playing great and opening up holes for Rees to make it to the second line of defense, and our defense is flat out nasty. Not to mention, our jv team is coming into the game in the 4th quarter every game and still scoring against starting defenses. For him to act like we wouldn't be any good without Rees is insulting to the rest of the team and considering he was lucky to score 9 points on us, he ought to watch what he says. Boyle County Rebels read the paper, too.

I think Sam is just frustrated. I've always found Sam to be classy and a very good coach. Right now this team is just not responding to him or the moment. I don't think he meant anything personal about it but was just speaking praise to Rees.

Congrats to Boyle County... they appear back to the Boyle County of the late 1990s/early 2000s under Chuck Smith.

I dont think youll find anyone here that would do that, a loss is a loss,it hurts no matter who your rooting for. I think the census has been that they were young and thers no shame in that! I wish Danville the best of luck, the city of Danville has alot to be proud of, outstanding athletes, classy group....that have love for the game!

Yea adavis I agree...Last night at the game I felt like they quit,but your right they didn't quit!They just got beat by a very good football team that has loads of talent and experience.I'm looking forward to having a week off and then matching up with Bardstown to start district play.There is still alot of football to be played and this team is showing more and more improvement.

He could be frustrated and you might be right. He might not of meant anything personal by it. He may have though also. It's not like Harp and Boyle County and Larry French for that matter have been the best of friends off of the field.:sssh:

That is true, they did have a guy who picked Danville as the best team in the area in the preseason. :ohbrother:

The Rebels are a force and should roll through their district. The admirals are having one of those years which they have not had for a long time. They will bounce back and remind everybody that they are Danville.
