  1. Corbin's Oline was not very good for Corbin, which is usually one of their keys every year. Even the first td Corbin scored, if it wasn't for a great individual play by Cashen or it would have been sack #7 for Oldham. Oldham played great in the redzone and off of turnovers. The Qb for Oldham is not too bad when he took his time, it may have been nerves early with 3 ints in the first quarter and two or three overthrows to wide open receivers that could have went for big plays. He settled down and played well after the first. This is the first I have seen the Hounds in pads this years, and that is most kids I have seen out for a Corbin team in years. They should have a solid year despite the loss. Middlesboro and Bell should be barn burners and if South gets their offense going next week that could be too, but Corbin should still be about 3 tds better imo.
  2. Even sadder playing teams like Jenkins and Betsy Lane every year winning 6 or 7 games and not making the playoffs. Good luck against BL!!
  3. Actually I think Williamsburg will find it easier to play teams around their own size next season as out of district games. With Pineville and the Harlan area schools in the different region, I could Williamsburg and Lynn Camp both picking up a couple to play.
  4. You couldn't be more wrong. Lynn Camp is one of the winnist teams in their district the last ten years. They have played for 3 regional titles, they have won one, and they have made it out of the first round 6 or 7 times the last ten years. Lynn Camp only averages around 25 players a season, and when numbers are low, you have a big class that graduates, your going to be hurting the following season. Lynn Camp also in the last ten years do not start a seasons well, one of the main reason for that is they play a tough non-district schedule year in and year out to have a better football team when November rolls around. Lynn Camp has come a long way the last ten year.
  5. No heart, no emotion for this Lynn Camp. Lynn Camp quit after the first half, or after the final minute of the first half. With the score tied 8 to 8, Middlesboro was able to take the lead before the break, after Lynn Camp couldn't pick up a first down to run out the half. Middlesboro returned a punt for a td, then LC fumbled the kick, and Middlesboro recovered and took it down and scored on the final play of the first half, and that was the backbreaker. Lynn Camp will need to regroup and show they still have some fight left in the them, or it will be a long year.
  6.  Its the only response to a lot of these p[ost in this thread. Where on here was it said about it was about Roskopf smarts and speed. I know it was said on here that he was leaving Lynn Camp before, but I don't remember that.
  7.
  8. Ryan Howard of Leslie County and Trevor Hoskins of Middlesboro are a couple of names that also should be added to the list.
  9. Middlesboro had a good first quarter on Lynn Camp last season jumped out to a 14 to 0 lead, before the Wildcats settled down and outscored the Jackets 40 to 16 the rest of the game. If this Wildcat team falls down a couple of tds to the Jackets they could be in deep trouble. This is a very talented Middlesboro team it will be much tougher to comeback on. Lynn Camp will have to match the jackets blow for blow to win. Lynn Camp will see another very good duel threat qb in Hoskins. Joe Roskopf looked good in the opener against Leslie last week, and will need to have a big game for LC to win. Turnovers hurt LC against Leslie, and it sounded like it did the same for Middlesboro against Knoxville Central. Middlesboro will stack the line against Lynn Camp to try to stop the run. Middlesboro has been one of the more successful teams over the years at stopping the LC running game. If Middlesboro stops the running game it could be a long night for Lynn Camp. Whoever controls the line of scrimmage wins this one.
  10. In the first game, I think if it turns into a shootout I like KC close. If KC slows down Williamsburg passing game, I like KC by 3 tds. Lynn Camp will have to control Howard to win the game, if he has big running and throwing the ball look for it to be a shootout. Lynn Camp will need to contol the line of scrimmage and the clock to win the game.
  11. My Preseason Mt Top Ten 1. Rock 2. Bell Co 3. Southwestern 4. Belfry 5. Johnson Central 6. Middlesboro 7. Somerset 8. South Laurel 9. Corbin 10. Clay Co (surprise team in the mts this year imo)
  12. I think Pikeville, Rock, Belfry and Breathitt would have something to say about that.
  13. You forgot WKKQ FM 96.1 - They will rotate weekly over the season of Knox Central and Lynn Camp football games.
  14. Its not just you.
  15. Harlan Hazard Whitley Co Somerset Pineville Wayne Co Middlesboro Berea* Williamsburg* Campbellsville* *District games
  16. This is very sad, what a great player he was, and one my favorites last season, I love the way he played the game, he was such a tough hard nose old school football player. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
  17. Lynn Camp has big line this year, they average around 6'2 280 pds, across the front. Most of which are in third year starting.
  18. Nice post, I wish the jumpers well in all but one game this year, I hope they represent D-7 well. :thumb:
  19. No. Pineville should have their way with the Generals. This is a good game for Pineville to get the Bart Elam era off with a bang. Pineville wins big Pineville 40 Jackson Co 6
  20. Should have went to our combine this year and last year, if you don't think the boys from Rock are strong, and Corbin had kids their too, and the Rock kids stood out imo. Speaking negative about Rock's kids and coaches should give them something to play off of, and people to prove wrong, I guess it works both ways.
  21. For Corbin to win this game they will have to win the battle upfront. Corbin should be outsized and outstrength. If Cashen gets time to good throws, and Corbin's D-line doesn't get pushed back, and run out of gas they have a chance, but I think Rock is too much for the Hounds this year.
