East Kentucky Gridorama
Corbin is playing Pineville in Middlesboro, who is Whitley playing? Lynn Camp I'm not 100% sure, maybe Madison Southern.

FB realignment: Why are North and South Laurel in different districts?
I can somewhat see why they are not in the same district, buy looking at the teams, but I would switch them, North in D7 and South D8. Most of the schools in D8 will have to travel past South for a district game, while none would go past North.

Who are some of the Projected Top RB's in 2006/2007 season
Joe Roskopf at Lynn Camp. He rushed for over 1000 yds last season, mainly in a backup role. He has gotten a lot bigger and stronger during the off season, and with the O-line pretty much all back, he should have a monster year.

Our 3 and their 117...
HDE would know for sure, but I don't think Harlan County will end up a 6A. Two 1A schools and a 2A school consolidating, I would guess that they would be 4A or 5A.

Proposed 6 Class alignment (from KHSAA)
Is the new Harlan County school going to be 6A? Talk about travelling for a district game, Harlan to Shelby County and Scott County.

Proposed 6 Class alignment (from KHSAA)
Doesn't Middlesboro already play in the district with Knott? Their is not many teams from EKY in the New 2A.

Proposed 6 Class alignment (from KHSAA)
Middlesboro is in 2A. Williamsburg is the other team I think you meant. And that works both ways. My guess it would be set up where they are not making that trip twice in the same year, at least in the regular season. It will tough for Lynn Camp and Williamsburg to make out schedules, that is about 3 more non district games. It will also be sad to rivals like Harlan and Pineville out of not just the district, but the region too.

My 1-A Pre-Season Top 10
Somerset will need another WR to step up. Last year the Jumpers had a nice 1-2 punch with Cole and Norman.

KHSAA Board of Control Football Committee Approves Going to 6 Classes (Take #2)
Pikeville will have a good shot at coming back in 2008, when Cumberland and Evarts will be out of 1A. Are they still going to move teams up or down every two years if their enrollment increases or decreases?

KHSAA Board of Control Football Committee Approves Going to 6 Classes (Take #2)
2A would be very strong, and I always enjoyed the Somerset, Middlesboro and Corbin wars. If the super classes thing passes, Corbin moves up, as do we at Lynn Camp, which would put us in the district with Somerset and Middlesboro. I don't like the super classes for the reason you like the even six classes. The even 6 classes would mean we would get to keep our traditional rivalries like Williamsburg, Pineville and Harlan. If we have to move up to 2A, all that would be left for us from the district set up now, would be Somerset and Evarts, and of course Evarts is closing its doors in a couple of years.

KHSAA Board of Control Football Committee Approves Going to 6 Classes
I like 6 classes, but I would to see them be even classes.

My 1-A Pre-Season Top 10
LC did lose a good group of Seniors, but they still have their O line pretty much back that has produced over 5,000 yards on the ground the last two season. The D-line took a big hit with the lost of Anthony Walters, but still should be solid with Michael Hall and Brian Slusher back. The backfield is still strong with Joe Roskopf, who may have been the best back LC had last season. I think we are close to a top ten right now, and we can move up. We do play in a region that is wide open every year, where several teams have a chance to win the region, and LC does have a team back if they stay healthy will be in the mix.

Franklin County vs. Somerset
If Franklin County can run the football well, I think they will beat Somerset. Somerset's rush defense the last couple of years has not been very strong, they do have a good passing defense. Somerset will also need someone to step up and run the ball for them. They will have to keep the Franklin's d line from being able to attack Deaton on every play. This is the first I heard Somerset was the underdog against Paintsville and Pikeville, if I'm not mistaken they were the preseason top choice in region 4 last season, and are second this year. Year in and year out Somerset is always a favorite. The only games last season they were underdogs was Danville and NCC.

My 1-A Pre-Season Top 10
1. NCC 2. Danville 3. Lou Holy Cross 4. Beechwood 5. Mayfield 6. Bardstown 7. Russellville 8. LCA 9. Somerset 10. Pikeville

Who else do you root for?
I root for Lynn Camp first, then Rockcastle, Corbin, Danville, ad any of the Class A District 7 teams in the playoffs.
-
Class A Region 4
Pugh had a good first half against Lynn Camp. He made good strong passes, and a couple of good runs, and one that just was simply unbelievable. Imo he is the top listed player in the region right now, with Joe Roskopf of Lynn Camp, John Cole and Ross Deaton of Somerset, and Chase Hamblin of Williamsburg right behind him.
-
Top EKY RBs
Actually only 3, Lynn Camp is in Knox County, and TR Christopher comes from Bell County, and Corbin players could be from Knox, Laurel or Whitley, being how Corbin borders all three counties.
-
Top EKY RBs
Root, I thought he as a guard? Even if he makes the move, he needs to carry the ball first before ranking him. He is a good overall player, and should be good. Right now, Freeman from Corbin, would be ahead of him, a back from Central last year whose name has slipped my mine, but is a talented runner, and Brandenburg from North.
-
In Southeast Ky who has to play big for your team to be successful this year?
At Lynn Camp Sidney Wagner, Scott Bray, Cameron Simpson, Justin Gorsuch, Kyle Scalf, and the o and d lines need to step up and play well for LC to have a good season.
-
2007 and 2008 Cumberland Falls Pigskin Class @ Corbin??
I was told by someone around Knox Central they were going to be in the pigskin the next two years. Of course they would have to play Corbin and Danville.
-
Tennessee 14 Kentucky 7
I didn't get to go this year, does anyone know how Jimmy Chaffin played?
-
Top EKY RBs
Lynn Camp returns Joe Roskopf, who rushed for over 1200 yards, while playing behind Josh Reynolds and Jimmy Chaffin. Sidney Wagner is another name to watch out for from LC. He has worked hard this off season, and hopefully will make some noise this season.

Corbin Basketball
HB I heard KC boys were going to be playing in the old gym and the girls in the new gym is there any truth to that? If not KC middle will have one of the best middle school gyms around.
-
T.R. Christopher to Corbin??
Mitchell does a great job at spreading the ball around every year. The years we are most successful we have two or three good backs. Sidney Wagner is name to watch for LC this year. LC has imo the top line in the area, and one of the best in Class A this year. LC was at or near the top last season in Class A in rushing last season. LC has all but one of them back.
-
T.R. Christopher to Corbin??
Playing at Corbin he still will play against Bell, in what should be an emotional game for him and his former teammates. He is a great back, and he makes Corbin a lot better. Actually if I was a runningback their is only one school in the Corbin area I would go to.:sssh: Yes i'm being bias.
