I feel like Coach Humphrey cranked up the pressure on Seidel by putting Ryan Williams on him. Ryan is so strong and quick on defense it really frustrates a lot of people out of their game. Seidel had a really good first half but seemed to be slowed down in the second. Depth of Clark County is really going to war on teams that aren't as deep this year.

Ryan Williams shut him down in the second half! Ryan is so quick and strong that he will give people fits all year. Patrick Bailey has become that type player also. With the two of them Humphrey should be able to take a lot of scorers out of thier game this season.Zollo and Stenzil will be scarey by the time they are seniors:scared:

:thumb: I think if you look back at the polls and threads you will find very few GRC "fans" saying anything about cutting the nets down in Rupp. The reality is we have a young very talented team and we WILL be a team to reckon with this season and the next three at least! We are Clark County and we are proud of our teams no matter what the scoreboards, polls, or other fans say! Seems like people hate GRC and will take thier jabs whenever they can. Enjoy this pre season because I think we have just begun a period when you will hear a lot about our team!

GRC is a very young team. I don't believe Humphrey is trying to "win" these scrimmages as much as learn what players are going to do come game time. Zollo is at a new school in a new state with a lot of pressure on him as a sophomore to impress, he will be scary but it will take time. Elliot County and Corbin are good teams with a lot of returning starters. Peaking in the pre-season is not always a good thing but both will have good years. Give the cards a few games and they will be a different team come january!:ylsuper:

I think a lot of people are reading way too much into this score. Clark played everyone who was dressed, the rotation was no where near what it will be come game time. The more I digest this "game" I really think Humphrey wasn't so much trying to "win" as he was seeing where each player fit in. Timmy Knipp would have fouled out in the 4th and the Faulkner kid had at least 4 on him if not 5 by the end of the game. GRC will be fine when it isn't practice!

I think the "problem" with Elliot County is they are the type of team you will cheer for when they play someone else besides your team. Everyone loves an underdog, just not when they are beating us! If the boys from Clark County aren't playing them I could cheer for this team.:ylsuper: If GRC can't cut down the nets at Rupp, I would feel good about Elliot winning it all!

Mason looked good just don't think the depth is enough to make the trip. I didn't realize they were missing some starters tonight.

Just to add a thought on officials, they must have been rusty also some very lopsided calling in first half of play. At one point it was 10 fouls on Clark and 1 on Elliot county. We,ll play them this time next year and see who is boss!:ylsuper:

GRC played a lot of different people and with football players just joining the team they were rusty to say the least. They will be a force to be reckoned with come march when they are firing on all cylinders. Elliot only had to pick up where they left off last year. Good team! Too much whining to the officials, thought they got some calls through out the game that were close or even no-calls. They will struggle with deep teams and don't think they will be able to take a state title with depth of bench being what it is. Ferguson kid can flat out shoot!

How do you get tickets? Can you buy them in advance?

We at Clark County have become used to this kind of game result! Until there are changes made with the coaching staff it will continue. I know some will say "Support your coaches, support the players" but to quote our President elect "It's Time For A Change" Clark Countians need to contact Jackie McCloud and demand we find a coach who can and will win! This of course is jmho.:madman: Thankfully one more game and it will be over for another year, and another nail will be driven in the GRC football programs coffin.

Clark County has always had the talent to compete with anyone in the state. The problem is, IMHO, and always has been, the coaching is sub par in a lot of areas. The conditioning and off season preparation has never been mandatory and it seems at times the players are running the show. I respect the coaches but when you lose more games than you win you need to make wholesale changes to get back on track. The fan base needs to demand at least improvement year in and year out. I think the empty seats Friday night spoke volumns. Until someone takes the reins and says we are going to do better or else, we will still be mediocre every year! I for one cannot wait for basketball to start!

Another competitive year for GRC.........or not! When will we get a team that is at least able to keep it close? Thank goodness basketball is right around the corner!:ylsuper:

Come on Pressrow this is the projected order of finish for the UPCOMING season! You don't have Darius Miller any longer and you need to just let it go. We all know you won last years state tourney but that was then this is now let's move on! The good part is you will have the next three years to beat these guys at GRC. So you should get to know them REAL well!:D:ylsuper:

The current coaching staff have an overall losing record around 49-54 I believe. This would have been enough for a coaching change anywhere else except a school that accepts mediocrity. We as fans and students alike should demand that if you are not winning more than you are losing either change to make it right or quit. There have been little to no changes in this program in years. This team was 4-0 against 2 A and 4A opponents. We are a 6A school. We need to compete or make changes! I have said this every year! :fire:

Losing Ryan was tough for the offense.........how did that make the defense fold up and go home? Clark County needs to rebuild the football program if they ever want to compete in thier region much less the state! The problem is and always will be the need for a coaching change......it's past due folks!

Clark County will be able to go ten deep and not lose much talent wise. Teams facing this onslaught will wear down quickly and foul trouble early. The most amazing part is nine of the ten will only be sophomores this year! GO CARDS!!:banana::banana:

Fortunately this hasn't been done yet! I don't think he can be shut down a whole game by anyone. Too many moves and way to much speed....................... just plain nasty speed! He cut back in the Danville game once and two players fell over and the other two ran out of bounds.............. he is awesome to watch!:ylsuper:

Isn't it wonderful to talk about GRC basketball and talk about the best players and leave out the guys who would be stars on any other team! I didn't forget these sophomores only had time to hit the high spots earlier. These guys will be stars soon enough , Cory is turning out a lot like Tristan only peaking sooner, good atheletic skills.
