I guess all the GRC people are still stuck in traffic trying to get out of there. :irked:

Great, great game. I love GRC's football stadium and there was a packed house tonight.....awesome atmosphere for a high school game. GRC came out on fire going up 14-0, the halftime score was 21-20 GRC, and early third was 28-20 GRC. MC showed a lot of heart to keep fighting back when they could have hung their heads. MC starting QB Zach Coldiron was knocked out of the game with an ankle injury in the 2nd quarter and backup John Moncriff (sp?) came in and did an excellent job.

I hate to toot my own horn, but I called it in the prediction thread...GRC would get a lot of yardage but would turn the ball over. MC would use their depth at the skill positions to keep moving the chains. MC's superior depth was the ultimate factor IMO.

Ryan Williams is stud, he had a ton of yardage and multiple TDs. Reminds me of Barry Sanders, no joke. The problem is, MC has a stable of RB that all came through huge. Keyshawn Simpson, Isaiah Kavanaugh, and my new favorite Indian Shane King all had great games. MC had virtually no passing game when Coldiron went out, and these 3 all had stellar nights thanks to Larry Warford and the Central offensive line.

The difference in the game is GRC turned the ball over multiple times, MC did not and I think the Cards wore down towards the end of the game. Overall, a great game.

Can't wait til the Indians travel to Georgetown on October 10th...

I heard on the GRC radio postgame show that MC had 51 carries for 357 yards.

Before making too many judgements on 6A pecking order, I want to see how the MC/Scott Co. game and the GRC/Henry Clay games go the next two weeks to see how the 3-10 range is falling into place...

WINCHESTER — The question was so very simple.

The answer, however, was so much more revealing.

Following his team’s 49-35 win over Clark County Friday in the district opener, Madison Central coach Kenny Turner paused for just a moment after being asked by a local television reporter if his team was now “legit.”

“Well. We are just trying to get better each week,” Turner said of the 5-0 Indians. “I’m just so proud of these kids. I can’t speak the words to tell how happy I am and how hard they have played.”

After all, this performance could have left just about any coach speechless.

That truly was a great game between two really good teams. I think our momentum changer was when our QB shut down. That has got to be dishearting when the team is working so hard and the QB doesn't have a mental clock and gets repeated delay of games or when he isn't paying attention and fumbles the snapped ball. GRC started to recover again after those back to back errors then we GRC gets to the other end of the field he gets sacked in the back field instead of scrambling out. Many times he would have a receiver WIDE open down field waving his hands in the air to get passed the ball and the QB wouldn't even see him. The line was doing their job but Dini has GOT to get rid of that ball in a more timely fashion. Once he starts getting sacked he gets so frazzled he can't even swing it out to his RB properly. I think the QB was the game changer that made GRC lose momentum last night.

I believe that Son of Bear hit the nail on the head..........

Turnovers and lost steam in the 4th quarter. The stop on 4th and 5 was a HUGE play for M.C. and they capitalized on it. Great running by their backs. They seems to pick up momentum in the final quarter.

Some great catches by Jim Mabe, and Dini did have some very bright moments. Concerns were bad snaps, delay of game, and timing.

Ryan Williams had another big night, but looked very tired.

Keep focused GRC and get ready for Henry Clay!

The line has got to get better if they plan on winning some big games in the future... Don't see all of those faults on Dini, I would place some on the coaching staff and just simple flat miscommunication. It's simple though, the line has to do better.

This is a very accurate statement of both points. Line has been doing a good job, but it stresses the importance against a tough run defense like Madison Central's.

While play calling has been much improved from last year, it is still suspect. But hopefully they will take the good points from this game and apply to Henry Clay game.

I hope so as well. I hope they come back stronger than ever.

Also, does anyone know who number 13 is? It seemed like he struggled out there during the MC game.
