Big differences in the game is Ryan Williams of GRC went out in the first quarter , and did not return....ankel sprain.

Tyler Cooper, who did not dress for HC in the first half, started in the second half and made all the difference for Henry Clay

Williams goes down in Cards' loss to Blue Devils

LEXINGTON — Ryan Williams wanted nothing more than a win against his former team. He could only watch from the sidelines after suffering an ankle injury in the Cardinals’ 40-13 loss to Henry Clay Friday night.

 

Williams, one of the state’s rushing leaders and the heart and soul of the George Rogers Clark offense, went down with an ankle injury at the 10:23 mark of the first half. Williams finished with 43 yards on the bench in the last three quarters.

Turnover seems to have cost the Cards again this game. I din't get to listen to it on the radio. But the paper mentioned a fumble (another for the Cards) on the kickoff. Who was recieving the ball?

I agree losing him was huge. Paper today said he would be out 3 weeks. Would miss next weeks game, then have open week...no game and then return for the next game. Hope you get that ankle well soon Ryan.:thumb:

Clark County needs to rebuild the football program if they ever want to compete in thier region much less the state!

The problem is and always will be the need for a coaching change......it's past due folks!

Dini threw an interception in the 1st Q of the game. They rotated in Skinner at QB and he threw an interception in the 1st half. It was 6 - 6 @ the half and 13 @ 13 in the 3rd.

A HUGE fumble was on a kick off return. #20 got hit pretty hard causing the football to pop out & so close to the endzone causing a HC TD. That was the 2nd TD in a 3 in a row set. It happened to of been #20 receiving the ball, but that could of happened to anybody considering the lack of blocking that was involved for him.

Then we finally get the ball back and the 1st pass Dini throws is yet another interception, which resulted in the 3rd HC TD in a row.

It was hard to believe that pretty much all of that happened in the 4th quarter. It was terrible to sit there and watch our team just quit on themselves.

I think ALOT of people were calling for a coaching change pre season but quiet down when GRC was winning.

I too think their should be a change, but not so much in getting rid of PC...this man is very intelligent about the game and has alot to offer the players. On the other side of that coin, just because you know the game dont mean you can teach/coach it. I just feel a change that would be a win/win for both would be to get PC some help and for PC to accept that help.

The current coaching staff have an overall losing record around 49-54 I believe. This would have been enough for a coaching change anywhere else except a school that accepts mediocrity. We as fans and students alike should demand that if you are not winning more than you are losing either change to make it right or quit. There have been little to no changes in this program in years.

This team was 4-0 against 2 A and 4A opponents. We are a 6A school. We need to compete or make changes! I have said this every year! :fire:
