Yeah Chase, HANOVER! Newport kids hate those little frat boys down on the river in Indiana (just kidding)! Congrats Chase, Hanover is a good school and a great program. Wayne Perry is an excellent football program. Don't worry about Thomas More Chase, my heart is still there, but it is also not the same. It just seems like it has really changed since Dean Paul left for Ohio Northern.

I agree with Blackshirts, since Roy Lucas took over in '95, there has been an actual standard set for any incoming head coach at Newport. Schlarman had more than filled the bill along with Goetz whom he proceeded. With the talent the school has drawn out the past 12 years, it should be no problem for Newport to be competitive. I played for Thomas More and have to admit that they have fallen off the past few years. It's a shame because Dean Paul had such a great thing but then he left for a GREAT situation at Ohio Northern. Right when they FINALLY get in a conference and Coach Hallett got them back on track to winning again, Coach Hallett acceps an OAC job (Heidelberg). Even though Heidelberg is not a premeir OAC job, I can understand why Coach Hallett took that position. He just wanted to get back closer to his DIII roots. Mexitucky, you know I have all the respect for Hanover because Thomas More and Hanover had some slug fest, dang those games were fun. I just think that they have gone down hill a little bit due to two reasons 1) Coach Leonard going to Franklin 2) Mount St. Joe has REALLY picked up the pace lately.

THe last time they played Kentucky schools was in '05. THey played both Ashland Paul Blazer and Belfry and beat them both, but I couldn't find who they are playing this year

Yes they do have a nice field! If I'm not mistaken, I beleive it is just natural grass, it's been years since I have been on that field. I know that Coach Trosper did a real good job with over seeing the maintenance of it and making sure that it stayed in good shape.

Coach Triplett didn't have a chance. He was stepping in to a situation that was almost impossible to overcome. I have heard and read that Coach Lutz was having his problems with the current administration at Ironton and if someone of his stature has trouble, then almost no one has a chance. Congrats to Coach Triplett on finding a coaching job tht he is happy with. I hope he has a long successful tenure as Portsmouth West's new head coach.

Kyle Rudolph is considered to be one of the best tight ends to ever play at Elder. He is a great athlete all around, from what I heard he is a great basketball player also. Ramsey knows how the Division I recruiting game works with the players he coached and himself playing QB fro Louisville.

Yea, he could handle it, and he could possibly be good at it, but I do know that he started coaching freshman this year to be able to spend more time with his wife/kids.

I beleive Scott Wiggins coaches WR's and DB's. I could be wrong though.
