I can see this as a great opportunity for one NICK RICE.....young, enthusiastic, and a Newport Guy (I think)

Coach Schlarman will be the O-Line Coach at Troy University, a univeristy in Alabama that is making the jump to D1.

How about Paul Gray from Elizabethtown? Paul has had several coaching experiences in northern Kentucky - Lloyd and Bellevue and he just resigned after two years @ E-town. Paul is excellent at developing QB's and just might be a good fit @ Newport...

Troy is already D-1.... they won the New Orleans Bowl last year beating the day lights out of Rice

Paul would be better suited an O-coordinator or just a QB coach. He couldnt last at Bellevue or Etown. What could he do differently to do well at Newport?

I'd like to see him as a coach down there in one way or another whether it be the head coach or assistant coach.

John did a great job at CCHS and did an even better job at NHS. Hope for the kids sake they hire someone within the school.....pretty sure they have a few solid choice within house.
