Sportskid Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Will any coach make a move this late? Newport now has great facilities to play and practice on.
colonel-fan Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 I'd say Nate Roedig would be a great fit!! Nate is familiar with the players and coaches and would build on the foundation Schlarman laid. GO WILDCATS

buckman41ss Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Where did Schlarman go? http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/showthread.php?t=122535
greendevil Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 I can see this as a great opportunity for one NICK RICE.....young, enthusiastic, and a Newport Guy (I think)
Hey-Ref Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Coach Schlarman will be the O-Line Coach at Troy University, a univeristy in Alabama that is making the jump to D1. http://www.troytrojans.com/
GPFAN Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Nick Rice would be my pick.As much as I think of Nick, no way does he get the head job at Npt.
Freebird23 Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 How about Paul Gray from Elizabethtown? Paul has had several coaching experiences in northern Kentucky - Lloyd and Bellevue and he just resigned after two years @ E-town. Paul is excellent at developing QB's and just might be a good fit @ Newport...

What could he do differently to do well at Newport?
NHS BIG DADDY Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Nick Rice would be my pick. I'd like to see him as a coach down there in one way or another whether it be the head coach or assistant coach.
C-Squared Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 John did a great job at CCHS and did an even better job at NHS. Hope for the kids sake they hire someone within the school.....pretty sure they have a few solid choice within house.
