CovCath has a team in both divisions. Their 7th grade team is in the small division and 8th grade team is in the large school.

Ryle wins this game by 21. NCC will hang tough early but will get worn down. This game will make both teams better for district play.

Tichenor beat Holy Cross NCC over Holmes Walton over Sharp Any scores of these games?

We call that a "walking taco" in Camel land.......we top it off with some sour cream....good stuff,,,

Brossart 37 Ludlow 0. Mustangs go 2-0 on the year.

NCC will have a decent freshmen class this year led by Mac Franzen. The coaches are very excited about the 8th graders behind them. St. Joe's-McDonald, Hoover, Schilling, Barth. St. Therese- Pangallo, Gray, Bartels. Most of the Omega AAU team is headed to NCC. Nice group of kids! Very talented class on their way.

Pike surely didnt throw a good ball. He floated passes all night and made a couple of NCC picks easy to come by. I'm not saying he wont be a good quarterback but he has a ton of work to do. Completing 10 of 25 passes is not considered a very good night. Once Hightchew settled down he was impressive. Brady ended up 13-18 for 225yds and 2 td's. That should be considered a very good nights work.

Congratulations to Coach Eviston on his first win. Breds showed a ton of heart tonight by not giving up when they got down 28-13 to start the 4th. Kelly, Cain and Hightchew were unstoppable in the 4th. Doyle and Woltermann made huge defensive plays. Thacker and Morse had huge games on the D line pressuring Pike to some bad throws. Hightchew played a great 2nd half and made some nice decisions. Congratulations Breds!

I haven't seen these honors in the newspaper. Does anyone know if it made it in there? Congratulations to all! It's an honor to be voted in by your former coaches in the conference.

Dixie Heights will host the Northern Kentucky Junior and Senior All-Star Baseball Games on June 21. The juniors will play at 5 p.m., followed by the seniors at 7 p.m. Has anyone seen the rosters. Any ideas on who is playing?

Way to go ROBO....3rd state title and 15 or 16 regional titles....not to shabby.....congrats again buddy......gumbo

Then you and Sullivan should be best of friends.

Completely agree with Macla. I don"t think Aric Russell would be a good fit. Campbell's next coach needs to stress discipline and light a fire under the players. There are quite a few names I would recommend. Carr, Sullivan, Faust, Dawn, come to mind right away. Unfortunately for CCHS, none of these coaches would have any interest at all. Does Eric Goetz have any interest? I know he has applied for a few jobs over the last few years.

2nd round games Boone vs. Conner Ryle vs. Dixie Brossart vs. Newcath Campbell Co vs. Highlands

I couldn't have said it any better. Worst administration I have ever seen. Who in their right mind would want to coach there?

Who are the defending freshmen and jv champs? Any ideas?

Heard today the freshmen and jv draw this evening. Should be interesting, no clear cut favorite in either tournament.

Covcath and Campbell Co are all freshmen.

Great kid, great family. Best of luck to David on the 30th and the rehab months ahead.

Lot of walks in the game. Plate umpire was very tight. Always an exciting game when these two teams match up. Good Luck to both the Breds and Stangs the rest of the year.

Better defense without a doubt. Better execution in every phase of the game. NCC batters took way too many strikes and Bertke made them hit his pitch. Josh did a great job.

Great game to watch. Pitchers duel for 7 innings. Seibert for NCC had the game winning hit in the top of the 7th. Breds take on Holy Cross in the semifinals today at 5pm at Moescher.

WP- GRAY (3-0) LP- BRUNNER HITTING LEADERS: GRAY 3-3, 2 2B, CAIN 2B, 3RBI, DETTMER 2-2, MURPHY 2B, KELLY 3-3, 2B, 3RBI, SEIBERT 3-3, SCHMITS 2-3. H- BRUNNER 2B, TARVIN 3-3. Breds travel to St. Henry today 5pm.

The Breds have been getting very good pitching from Doyle, Gray and Murphey. All juniors who throw the ball well. Schmidts is a pretty good pitcher as well but I'm not sure he has been on the mound yet.

Murray pitched a great game. Kept the Breds off balance all day. If I'm not mistaken NCC had 10 or so hits, just couldn't put hits together. This is NewCaths 3rd shutout in the last 4 games. Holy Cross 14-0 CovCath 3-0 HHS 3-0.
