For those in NKY that also follow the boys across the river, from Ernst's blog:

La Salle junior wide receiver DeVier Posey will visit Ohio State Thursday, according to Bill Kurelic of Rivals.com. Posey picked up an offer from Clemson Sunday, but it sounds like the Buckeyes are his first choice, according to the Web site.

Elder coach Doug Ramsey wrote in an e-mail to say he will sit down with Kyle Rudolph and his parents to discuss the football recruiting situation after the Panthers' basketball season. Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee, Clemson, North Carolina State, Nebraska, Oklahoma and UC are among schools that have offered Rudolph.

Wow.

Wow.

Life is good for ol' Kyle.

Kyle Rudolph is considered to be one of the best tight ends to ever play at Elder. He is a great athlete all around, from what I heard he is a great basketball player also. Ramsey knows how the Division I recruiting game works with the players he coached and himself playing QB fro Louisville.

MUCH better football player than basketball player -- but yes, he is a nice basketball player. Had a tough day v. the Middies the other day but they escaped with a squeaker.

Kyle is quite a basketball player. I went to the Elder/Moeller game at Elder (my cousin plays for the Panthers) and Jim Tressell and Kirk Herbstreit were in the house for the game. Tressell hosted Elder's pep rally that day.

Saw Rudolph up close after the game, and his hands are gigantic.

The word floating around Price Hill Chili after the game was that he is leaning heavily towards Notre Dame.

Gotta get those Catholic boys to South Bend. The Notre Dame boards that I visit seem to have a pretty good feeling about Rudolph as well.

Looks like CCH will get to go up against an Ohio State recruit. From Ernst's blog:

Just got this press release from LaSalle:

La Salle High Junior DeVier Posey is scheduled to commit to play football at The Ohio State University in a press conference tomorrow at the school (3-14-07) at 8:30 a.m. As a junior, Posey accounted for over 1,300 all-purpose yards and nine touchdowns while on his way to All-Ohio honors.
