Cooksey and Mays are great coaches and people. Hopefullly the 16th will be well represented in the all A tournament.

I dont know if he is there behind pettigrew. I got a chance to see some kids like profitt and miller. I do feel like he is more of an impact guy than miller but not profitt. Someone correct me if I am wrong but it was my understanding that our friend from the north, mr. ky himself at umass was interested.

I believe that the count of the GRC game at Mont. co. was around 3500 roughly. I feel like the gym could have held around 1000 more reasonably. The upside to is that is without making any more seating accomodations. Who knows you may be able to squeeze 5000 in there. All I know is that the gym held 3500 and there was no congestion problems and you could watch the game from the concession stand line. That is top notch for high school teams.

I went to the prep classic in Montgomery Co. this weekend and saw some good games. Mason beat J-town by a narrow margin, South Laurel beat Paintsville by a narrow margin, and Chritian Co lost to Bryan Station by a narrow margin. Mont. Co. had a really strong showing beating Clay Co. Really good games and really good talent. Of course the talent was really strong at the tournament. More impressed with Mason than I was with South Laurel. Laurel is a really, really well coached team with lots of skill, but I think that their big man is kind of suspect????

I have been really impressed by the Knights this year. They are skilled, small, and probably a step or two slow, but do everything the right way. Real good team to watch.

Great post IBall. I agree. Maybe let high school use it and make middle school not. That way the kids can transistion smoothly from one level to the next.

I feel like the first half is pretty solid only a team or two moving a spot or two in there. The bottom half could be shuffled some but that is what you get in the bottom half, shuffle, shuffle, shuffle; never know what you are gonna get when you see them.

Brossart should and probably will win the tournament. Maybe someone should start another thread about classifying the schools. I would love to get into a discussion on that, but it might offend too many proud kentuckians about their coveted sweet sixteen.

The refs were not that bad were they?

Here is a number for all you crunchers out there like me. 4:55 on the clock in the fourth qtr, you are in the double bonus, and you only shoot 1 set of free throws the rest of the game. Get to the free throw line, win the game when the clock is stopped. you win by ten, instead lose by 6. Loved the effort from both sides tonight. They all played the game the right way, like men.

Great effort by clark. They really made a game of it late.
