  1. As a coach myself, I offer you this: coaching matters a great deal, but any coach will tell you having great athletes and players matters a great deal more than coaching.
  2. I didnt know they had "true freshman" in high school. Do they have redshirt freshman??? Give me a break, who cares how old he is or the decisions his parents made prior to him enrolling in high school. The fact remains he sits in Freshman english class, probably takes a freshman level math and science class too. The kid is a freshman that will have four years of high school just like every other kid. He should absolutely be considered with treg and all the other fine fresh in the region.
  3. Arent all students who attend any of the military academy settings on full rides? Just a question? Air Force has been tough the last few years. He should get some impact minutes, congrats.
  4. His first coaching job was at Nicholas Co. High School and from what I have been told, he was hired on class above all. Things like that often dont change about a person and I doubt the success he has will effect it either. Congrats to those guys for success and hardwork. Trophies make big targets though
  5. I saw at least six D-1 players at rupp maybe 8. Tyndall was there but that was all I saw other than G. I think a lot of kids showed some good stuff and I was only there briefly. I hope some quality kids get some attention to go somewhere.
  6. Kinda find it hard to imagine that 47 states get it wrong and Kentucky, Delaware, and somwhere else are the only ones to get it right??? I think the setup needs to change and hopefully it will.
  7. Ah ok, cut, carat, clarity. You already have the cut. Depending on your budget I suggest you pick out the size or carat of the diamond. Then your clarity can determine the final spending dollars. If the diamond is too big for your budget, downsize in the clarity and keep the carat. Size matters!!
  8. stock up: I can think of three players that weren't on a lot of coaches playdar (player radar;) ) before the tournament will get some serious looks now and a very valuable 41 cent stamp from some of the local universities. stock down: attendance. the girl's state tournament game set a new record this year in attendance and was solid all week. From my understanding with the exception of a few games, this tournament attendance was not very great. officiating. Paintsville vs. Holmes, horrid officiating and then two of the officials from that game making most of the calls, were calling the championship game! Unbelievable.
  9. Well no doubt calls are missed and calls are made for stars and that sort of thing but one fact remains...the refs at the state tournament are not the best has to offer. Each region gets represented and there are several from the BBA that are better than half of the refs at the tournament that didnt make it. A lot of making it to the sweet sixteen, as in other things, is who you know and whose back you can scratch the best.:thumb:
  10. Crimson.........Roll Tide!!
  11. It is, who do you think was on the sled, what a babe.
  12. Dont know coach Wilson but this is a heck of a story. Three days on the board and two replies; man coach, congratulations!!! Hope you get many more.
  13. I think he was going to the baseball game.
  14. Wow, 15 names on this list and no mention of Chelsea Williams? That girl can get it done. I think there is a realistic chance that girl will break the 2000 point mark and she will be a special player for some school at the next level. Good player, well coached, lots of skill, many props.
  15. People let me give you guys a little insight on Kristy Orem . Get past the 4' heel and pretty hair because that girl can coach. She very well may be one of the most well prepared coaches nobody has put on the radar yet. Key word, yet. Having coached against her, she is a vicious competitor and a heck of a coach. Jerry Ormes is a class act too. One of the nicest people in the game, and he can coach too
  16. I think Inthesuite may have a good point. I dont believe there is a team other then maybe mason and grc that will have a tougher schedule than montgomery next year and I am not even sold on that yet since they have not came up with next seasons schedules. Montgomery will be on the list believe that. Sure they graduated some kids but there are powers at work that will make sure they are competing in March. Dont put them too far down the list, you might be setting yourself up for a suprise.
  17. I can think of a handful of small college teams this Lady Indian bunch would give a good run right now!
  18. I was thinking the same thing. I got montgomery running away with this one though. The indians are very deep, very talented, and very experienced.
  19. Well, for deming's sake, it will be held on a neutral floor. Outside of that, not a whole for deming to look foward to.
  20. I've been thinking this all along. Good Call.
  21. Watch out StickerMann. Its one thing to have the fans from Mason on your back but the Hook and Mason may be too much for any one man. I totally agree with what you are saying though.
  22. Maybe they (IU) are trying to avoid what is going on with WV and Rodriguez?
  23. Few..? Nice. I forgot about the zags, he should have left two years ago when the getting was good for him.
