Mason County Lady Royals...

Featured Replies

Now that its final that Coach Paula Buser has coached her last game as the Lady Royals head coach, is there anyone out there that can provide us some names that will be considered to replace her?

I'd like to hear who has shown some interest in the position.

I'd say that Jason Butler could be a potential head coach candidate, and maybe even Kent Moore.

I agree both of those should be mentioned. Jason Butler has paid his dues at Mason County and I believe that he should be given strong consideration for the top spot.

I think Christy Orem moving back into the 10th Region would be a good choice.

Christy Orem. Doesn't she coach at Fleming?

What about Mike Kindred??? Is he looking to get back into coaching?

What about the young boy's assistant, that also coaches football, can't think of his name.

What do the Lady Royals have returning? I know that they are losing a few seniors that have put up some major stats in their career.

Mason County will have 3 juniors, only 1 of which that received a lot of clock this season(Menke, a starter), Smith a 8th grader returns as a starter for her freshmen year and 3 sophomores(2 of which didn't dress until post season play this year as freshmen) and a crop of incoming freshmen. There will be zero seniors on next years team from this years ball club.

Mason will have to try and replace the 3 seniors next year, with 3 players who didn't receive a whole lot of playing time. Definitely a rebuilding year for the Lady Royals.

When you are at Mason County though, you don't have as many rebuilding years as the rest of the teams in the area.

What was the scoring percent of what they are losing, high 90's. Will be very hard to replace that.

First of all, you are not just replacing 3 seniors. Those 3 young ladies have been the face of Lady Royal bball the last 6 years. The program will be down, but lets not bury them yet. You have girls who are coming back that are talented, yes young, but talented. They have been part of a program that has won the district 6 years in a row, and been to 3 regional championship games.

To the Seniors, congrats on great careers. you are wonderful young ladies who have a bright future ahead of you.

To Coach Buser, thanks for allowing me to be part of your staff the first 4 years. i enjoyed the time there, and know how much you care about the girls and the program. Enjoy your time away form the gym.

I think Coach Holt at Lewis Co. would be a great fit. She is a Mason Alum and she has done a great job at Lewis Co.

Here are some names that came up in my crystal ball. Jason Butler, Kent Moore, Jessie Holt, Patrick Kelsch, Rebecca Arnold, Jay Fite, Brad Riley and yes Kristy Orem!!!!:confused:
