I cant beleive Hopson made the McDonalds AA team.

 

I watched Miller destory Hopson at Sheldon Clark.

No matter what the outcome of the Sweet 16 is, I'd be really suprised if it isn't Darius Miller.

Darius signed with UK. Unless Hopson does, Miller will win Mr. Basketball.

 

Mack and Hopson and both very good players though and would be deserving to win the award.

I believe the award, is Miller's to lose. Nothing against Hopson, as I've been fortunate enough to watch him play but Miller is the favorite.

 

Great to see KY High School student-athletes, getting this much attention in Basketball across the nation and to have serious Mr. Basketball contenders, only reaffirms that.

So Josh Carrier and Brandon Stockton were the best players in their class in KY? Signing with UK had nothing to do with it?

I do -I've seen both play and Miller would be my pick in both talent and attitude.

My memory is failing me now. Where is Matt Walls now, I can't remember. He was a senior last year, right?

I think IF (and it is a big if) Mack can lead his team to wins over the likes of Madison Central, Lex Cath, Scott Co. (region), followed by wins over UHA or Henderson (Sweet 16) and the PRP or DeSales (quarters) and then Ballard or Eastern or Holmes or J-town (semis) he should/will get a lot of votes.

I watched Hopson at the All-A against Paintsville and he wasn't even the best player on his team (that game), let alone the best player on the floor. His teammate Edmonson , along with Slone and Grimm of Paintsville, all three impressed me more then he did. Grimm (maybe 6'2) went right at him the entire game and put up 29 I believe.

 

 

I'd be very surprised to see him as Mr. Basketball.
