New Coach..Good Talent! I think it will be a great year for the Panthers.

Congrats to Carroll Co.! Saw the game and was very impressed by the teamwork that I saw on the Panther team. They really are fun to watch this year. Very impressed by the TC fan supprt as usual and #5 is a hard one to stop. Good Luck to Trimble the rest of their season!

Have to go with the Panthers in this one. Everyone is looking forward to a good rivalry game. I also hope for no injuries for either team.

Our kids are on fall break that week and parents are trying to make plans on coming back early from vacation etc. You think there would at least be brackets and times by regions. THey do not have to have the actual team name. Fans may want to stay the night etc..but no plans can be made because there is no information.

A little outside of NKY but Coach Weedman at Carroll County is really doing a great job. It is his second year of being the Head Coach and the team has improved on the field and in overall attitude. Football numbers are up and the team has become a very cohesive group, and are a positive role model for others in the School. He and his staff really seem to be on to something.

Does anyone have any additional information on thiis. Other than the dates our team is in the dark about the format and the times.

I think you under-estimate Carroll..however I do wish WV luck in their 1st season. Congrats to Carroll.. all your hard work is paying off!

I think this game will be very close..I have not seen Trimble play but did see GC in the opener. I think GC has a great homecourt advantage but the Trimble county fans are very loud and supportive. This will be a great game to watch and will come down to the last play. I think Trimble may pull this out...

Carroll County 28 - 7. Carroll has had a week off and are ready for this game.

Looks like Region 8 has huge districts..5 and 6 schools per district. I wonder when they will change this. Some regions have 3 teams in a district. I am sure a re-alignment will be in the future.

I have to go with the Carroll Co. Boys...they looked good Friday night and are really ready for the season. Coach Weedman and his staff have done a great job with them and their performance reflects it. Good Luck!

Good luck to both teams. ... I would like to see Trimble win this game but I think Henry may prove to be too strong for them. Henry seems to have really put a nice team together this year. NO INJURIES please......

Carroll really looked good, they made some big plays to win. With the delay of the game both teams were tired at the end but CC held on to the victory. Carroll had 1 injury and I am not sure about Gallatin Co. Does anyone have an update on this? Good Job Panthers, we are proud of you. Gallatin is a quality team and a good win.

I think the Carroll boys will win this one.. they have some new talent and many others who have worked hard this year. Gallatin will be tough competition as usual and the rivalry is fun! Good Luck to the Panthers and everyone stay safe.

I have heard a lot of good things about the NKY clubs...and will again explore playing this year. However, by not trying to take the BBALL girls I think they are missing out on some dedicated and great athletes. In our region for the majoority of the smaller schools those are the best players, even compared to the club player. AS far as trying to do both, find me a club that will allow it and work with me and we are there. We have not foind this yet. For our town starting a club is not a possibillity. I tried this last year but could not find 6 girls of the same or similar age that could afford the costs. (the tournaments are very expensive) Not to mention the gyms are full with the basketball season and there was no where to practice. Please PM me any suggestions you have.

I would like to see Club play available to smaller areas in some form and that would help even the teams. Unfortunately it is very expensive and V-Ball is becoming a economically advantaged - girls sport. It is too bad that there are not more opportunities for small school players to participate. Most girls at small schools play basketball also, and you absolutely can not play on a club team because you can not start until March. I hate to see economics divide the sport, but that is the reality. Look at who the top teams are.

I agree - he is the best thing to happen to the girls program at CC.
