Does anyone have any additional information on thiis. Other than the dates our team is in the dark about the format and the times.

I agree.....It has been very confusing. I know it is the first year, but very little information is going out. Coaches and AD have to seek info on there own. Frustrating

I agree. Someone was kind enough to send me the number of the man in charge. I have since passed that on to my AD and no longer have it.

Our kids are on fall break that week and parents are trying to make plans on coming back early from vacation etc. You think there would at least be brackets and times by regions. THey do not have to have the actual team name.

 

Fans may want to stay the night etc..but no plans can be made because there is no information.

There must be info somewhere. Our team has plans and reservations already. I'm not sure what they are but our team mom made all our travel arrangements for tournaments etc 6 weeks ago.

Hello Coaches,

 

Congratulations to both the winner and runner up in your region. The tournament will be held on Oct 10th and 11th. The KHSAA has said we can not play on the 12th. It will be held at the MAVA facility in Louisville. Each team will get a min of 5 matches and 7 matches max. The pools will be set when all the teams have qualified and the KHSAA has set the brackets for the state tournament.

 

The teams from each region will play in pools in different end of the brackets. Each bracket will have 4 teams and play each other in pool play on friday and early Saturday. Top two teams in pool will move on to the gold bracket. The bottom two will move to the Silver bracket. Teams play until they win or lose 5 matches, this counts pool play. If they continue to win in their bracket they could end up with 7 matches. Trophy's will be given to the winner and runner up in gold and winner in silver.

 

Entry fee $5 per person for Friday and Saturday season. THIS is a major part of us keeping this tournament free to everyone. It will pay for refs, trophies. The cost for this event is over $7000. Parent Entry fees and t shirt sales are a huge part of our revenue.

 

T shirts are going to be pre sold. $12 a shirt with all 32 teams involved on the back. We will send you an application form with a picture of the front soon.

If you need hotel rooms, you will need to book them on your own. We are to new to get discounts on hotel rooms. Hopefully next year
