  8. Shelby Valley #4? Don't see your logic WHO has Shelby Valley played or beat to earn a #4 ranking?
  9. I hope this is the year; recently they have been one of the favorites but underachieving in the post season. Watts is a great player and I hope he gets the opportunity to show his skills at Rupp this year. Good Luck Raiders
  10. Looks like Scott Co. shot VERY well.
  11. Trinity by 2, they have stepped up and is playing well. Hope they go on to win the LIT and get the trifecta!
  12. I believe Trinity has earned the right to say "Bring on Ballard", they've beat almost everyone else that is a threat in the 7th either head to head or in a roundabout way by winning the KOB. Good luck Trinity this morning!
  13. Note to self... "Voice of Reason" seems to think that Boone Co's coach did not know to extend his zone defense when Newport started hitting 3's.
  14. Congratulation to Jacob, he is a very good player and has had an outstanding four years at Brossart.:ylsuper:
  15. I agree that beating Shelby Co. was a quality win but that's really the only quality win that Franklin Co. has. While they have losses to St. Xavier, Clay Co. and Corbin which does not help their cause when shooting for top 20 in the state. With the loss of last year's players, I think FC is playing very good. Get a few more quality wins and FC will be up there. Good luck.
  16. Monore is a nice basketball player, we will hear a lot about him over the next three years. Congratulations to Pendleton County.:thumb:
  17. From www.ky.com Flannery's 23 points lead Scott County By Mike Fields - [email protected] On Scott County's team of stars, Austin Flannery usually plays a backup role. But the 6-foot-3 senior had his time in the spotlight Saturday night as he scored a season-high 23 points — three times his average — in leading the third-ranked Cardinals to a 69-54 victory over Male in the Central Bank Classic at Lexington Christian Academy. MALE (7-7) — Horne 17, Hayes 11, Duncan 2, Pillischafske 12, Glenn 4, Moore 6, Logan 2. SCOTT CO. (9-5) — Flannery 23, Euton 15, Guyn 14, Manning 2, Jackson 13, Shotwell 2. Male 17 13 12 12—54 Scott Co. 10 23 11 25—69
  18. That's easy to say when your child went to a private school and you the parent had to provide transportation to and from school. You also live in a heavily populated area and there are no rural roads that stay icy for extended periods of time. I've seen EKY schools miss over 75% of the school days in January and February because the administrators have to look at the conditions of all the roads in the county. Totally different than schools like Cov. Cath. and Notre Dame.
  19. If that were the case for several Eastern KY schools, they might as well cut out basketball the entire months of January and February. Most of the schools in EKY have not been to school since before Christmas. With the weather being as cold as it will be the next week I'll guarantee they will not go to school next week. The snow and ice has to melt off the side roads which several are gravel and that won't happen till it warms up some. Fayette Co. is very different from the rural districts throughout KY. I don't think allowing a team to practice when school is out means that the school dstrict is not putting education first. JMO
  20. Congratulations to Jolly to at least get the opportunity to do what he loves while furthering his education. What's even better for him and his family, is that the opportunity is in their back door.:thumb:
  21. 1. Shelby County 2-10 Throw them in a hat and start pulling them out. Many teams in the 8th of equal talent but the only team that really stands out above the rest is Shelby County.
  22. Hit the "enter" key after entering the first team.
  23. Note to self....you said Boone's coach "doesn't know how to coach basketball" not I. I just made a statement that maybe he didn't know to put someone in the middle of the court when breaking a press, if he did know, why didn't he?
