Ballard deserves to be number 1. The rest probably can jumble themselves and it would look okay. Funny stat on Eastern, looking on KHSAA they have only played 1 home game. They have Seneca, Ballard and Jtown at home later in the season. Maybe they are trying to become tournament tough.

I agree that beating Shelby Co. was a quality win but that's really the only quality win that Franklin Co. has. While they have losses to St. Xavier, Clay Co. and Corbin which does not help their cause when shooting for top 20 in the state.

 

With the loss of last year's players, I think FC is playing very good. Get a few more quality wins and FC will be up there. Good luck.

The #3 team in the state struggles with a near .500 team. Its going to be an interesting post season, even in the districts.

Coach played a lot of subs in the first half and then they took care of business when they had to in the 2nd as they have been doing all year! The difference between Trinity, Ballard and everybody else in the state is that those two have been winning these games where they don't necessarily play their A game.

 

I agree that the unknown is whether either one of these can keep it up when it comes to regional play or will another team get on a roll at the right time.

I agree with this post with the exception of the Corbin loss. In my opinion Corbin has a very nice team. FC played them in the finals of the Cumberland Falls Invitational at their gym. No excuses, but the deck was a bit stacked against FC as their games leading up to the finals were tougher than Corbin's as well as playing them at their house in FC's third game.

 

Corbin is very well coached and fundamentally sound, they play hard and may be deserving of a top 20 spot.

 

Again not making an argument that FC should be top 20, as they are undersized, and undermanned having lost 5 out of their top 6 players to graduation last season. Trinity was down until the buzzer ending the 3rd quarter against Fern Creek.

This would be a perpetuation of a double standard. There are teams that almost always start out high and have to lose their way out. Others have to prove their way in. Franklin County did that with their record and thumping of Shelby County now. Show me one quality win on Lexington Catholic's resume and justify how they are top 10 then?
