Raiders missed so many easy shots. I don't know if they were afraid to be blocked or what. Don't know how much it would have mattered, though.

Raiders held their own very well in the 1st and decent into the half. After halftime they did not look like the same team.

Only time I have watch MC this year but someone has to HELP Watts (sp?) if they are going to win late in the year. I thought Watts was the best player on the floor. He has no help on this night.

I think it is more of the competition. The players, outside of Watts, seemed intimidated by Scott County, and maybe rightfully so.

 

With that said, McCreary will not face a team in the region as good as Scott County, or even Male, Seneca, or LexCath.

 

As McCreary continues to play against the 12th, you will see more contributions from other players. Those players don't usually miss those chip shots and Dixon is usually money from behind the arc. Additionally, Roark won't face the size and athleticism in the paint as he has with the aforementioned teams.

Guyn, one of the state's top seniors, missed Friday's game against Bryan Station and told me last week that he could miss a few games because of tendonitis in both knees. He didn't start the game but he played 19 minutes and had five points, four rebounds and two steals.

Sounds like it was a pretty good game until late.

Central was worn down by the intense defensive pressure from Scott Co. Alot of missed opportunities by Central but alot of that can be attributed to the Cardinals, except the huge amount of missed free throws for the raiders. The Cardinals are the best team that I have seen this year to date. Hopefully the Raiders will learn from this experience and contiunue getting better for when it really matters.

I agree with mchsraiders. The Raiders missed a lot of free throws from good free throw shooters. Cardinals are the best team Ive seen so far. Their pressure and stamina throughout the entire game was very impressive and I like the physical game they play. Good game for them.
