George Rogers Clark 69 Whitley County 40

GRC plays a lot better when they pass the ball! They came out and played unselfishly in the second half and completed the blowout. They sometimes play some what selfish basketball. This is not the way they started the season and hopefully not the way they end it. GRC will be in Rupp in March. From then on they control their own destiny. Cards will be a tough night for any team in the state this year and next!:ylsuper::scared:

Thought the refs did a good job tonight controlling the game. Stenzel took some questionable shots and had to leave the game. He did return later and seemed to be OK.

Cory Rogers had 18 points. Stenzel is playing great defense and had some great passes tonight. Daniels had 4 great dunks, not sure how many points he had , but he was amazing tonight.

Did not expect this one. Great win for the Cards!

:rolleyes:Congratulations to GRC. Hey Gold Sunrise, sorry to be so far off on my score prediction...hope I didnt mislead you.

Whitley Co. 10 6 9 15 40

Clark Co. 20 10 25 14 69

Whitley Co. (7-10) -- Ponder 6, Akins 3, Lebanion 2, Daniels 3, Crawford 11, Goins 3, Harris 2, Petry 10.

Clark Co. (15-4) -- Daniel 17, VanCleave 1, Kindred 3, Stenzel 4, Martin 2, Fatkin 2, Purvis 6, Zollo 13, Rogers 18.

I saw the second half of GRC/LCA and was impressed with Clark. Tons of size and skill to create match-up problems against most.

If you thought that Whitley was physical with "quesitonable" shots, GRC would have a tough time on any given night in the 13th region.

I thought that GRC was very well coached although I think they may lack the depth that they need in the post season. The Cards are long and fast and really get up and down the floor. They got a ton of second shots simply because they could out jump the small Colonel lineup.

We can take physical play and like to play that way, but there is no room in basketball for the "questionable" and I am being nice, that was displayed last night by a Whitley Co player. We have played Corbin, North Laurel , South Laurel and Clay Co and had no problem with the way they played. So the 13th region teams we are no stranger to GRC.
