Coach Holcomb here at Breathitt doesnt fool around alot with recruiting. I was talking to Colby's dad at the last game and he told me that Holcomb hasnt even offered to help with it. I think the coach or coaches should help these kids out.

I'm just wondering if any colleges come to your school and recruit? Is it the job of the athlete to shop themselves around or does that fall on the coaches?

I would agree with that. When Holcomb retires in a couple years, John Paul is in line and has been inline to take the job. He will make a very good head coach. If it wasnt for John Paul, Holcomb doesnt have any state championships.

How about Colby Fugate from Breathitt. And Ill give you a name to look out for over the next two years. His younger brother Channing Fugate will be in the talk of Mr. Football in the next two years.

I am pretty sure that Jamon built the one for highlands. I know he has built ones for other schools besides breathitt.

I hope Belfry wins so Breathitt can come to their home feild and beat them. Belfry wins by whatever they want to win by.

Breathitt will make it threw estill this friday and it will be a great game at Russell but Breathitt will prevail. Belfry will beat SC and whoever else they have to play and it will be a game for the ages I hope.

Breathitt was up on Fleming 52-0 at halftime. Coach Holcomb put his JV in the 3rd quarter and his freshmen in the 4th. I agree alot with what you all are saying about all these teams that are getting in the playoffs with very bad records. I think that the KSHAA should look to improve on the system. Make it so that the only teams from each district are the top two instead of the top four.

Holcomb has played this year down. People around here havent. I think that if the defense keeps games close with russell and belfry, I really think that central or tilman wouldnt be much of a game.

Breathitt was up 52 to 0 at halftime. The third quater was played by the JV and the forth was played by the freshmen team. Channing Fugate had over 200 yards rushing in the first half.

Breathitt has the Fugate brothers. Colby had over 1000 yards passing and younger brother Channing has over 100 on the ground along with about 500 in catches.

Well, Im a big Breathitt fan. I think they stand a very good chance of winning it all this year. They have a great quarterback in Colby Fugate and his younger brother Channing as running back. Channing is a very good back, he does alot for the offense. On the other side of the ball, they havent give up alot of points this year aginst some pretty good offenses. I think breathitt makes it to the ville, and comes back to the mountains as champs!

Who comes out ontop? I think Breathitt will come back from a game that they didnt play their best football aginst Shelby Valley and roll over Fleming. Breathitt-59 Fleming-7

Breathitt/Russell and Breathitt/Belfry

I think this makes the 6th perfect regular season that Breathitt has had in the last 13 years.

Belfry loses to JCHS. Close game but JCHS pulls it out.

Breathitt played their JV pretty much the second half of this game. It was 41 to 7 i think at halftime. Good win for the bobcats.

Channing Fugate for Breathitt

I remember one year when Breathitt went to Powell county and played. Ive been told by numerious people that Powell had used a fire hose to wet the feild. It had been raining, but when we got there it was mud up to ones ankle. Breathitt won the game of course. But it was something that I will remember for the rest of my life.
