Cause he wouldn't have gotten an SEC offer if he didn't attend Trinity? Hasn't played a down yet and is getting plenty of attention from all kinds of schools. I am going to go with NA wasn't going to be in title contention and he transferred to a school that is. Recruiting isn't going to get better because he's at Trinity, it's going to get better because he play on that level.

At 100 degrees on the index, helmets have to be removed and you can't do 7v7 without helmets for insurance purposes...so I would say play will be suspended if index hits 100. This may not finish up until 10 or so that evening if temps don't permit it. Just part of KY life...lol.

Never really been a school with great football tradition. Good under Coach Jackson, but no real home runs since. They were really bad last year, but are in a district where they can win some games if they can get it together. I will say they get 1 or 2 wins if things go well...but nothing more. Coach Edge has proven he can flat win games regardless of who puts on the helmets. I will say 8-2, 7-3 at worst and a solid run once again in the playoffs.

Lots of holes to fill, gonna say 4 wins is likely again. Not enough fire power to win a district game and will likely be on the road for round one of the playoffs vs CAL or DeSales. Who do they play in the Campbellsville Univ. Bowl game?

Guys from all over apply for open jobs..I know of one school who did a phone interview with a Florida coach, one with several state titles. After they broke the news that it's also a teaching job and not a full-time coaching job. He laughed and said he was no longer interested. Don't let the places that coaches apply from skew your interpretation of the quality of the pool. Lol.

Those things don't matter to the parents. They were 1 play from a state championship 2 years ago. Billy did both of those things. If he doesn't get it done this year, the parents already know they can run a coach off with their check book. This is a no win for a really young coach.

Not so fast my friend. Jaggers was promised 1-2 coaches could go with him and be hired in the building, he was told Monday that was not likely anymore. He is in the building...but lets use that loosely. He is doing ISS in the middle school and was disappointed he wasn't able to get into the high school at any point during the day to recruit the hallway. You are right that they return an honorable mention WR (not top 1 or 2 in the state) and were on pace to have another 6-7 win season, which is a darn good year for Valley high. Coach Jaggers is going through a really difficult personal time in his life, one that he did not foresee when he took the job...he has to put his family first and that's exactly what is happening here. Im sure both parties are disappointed in how this has played out.

It's happened at quite a few schools in the bluegrass for sometime now. Parents go over principal, get a few board members on their side, board holds the super hostage since they can get rid of him, and out goes the ball coach...it's becoming far more common place than you think.

All of those teams ARE traditionally better than Adair EVEN when they have had losing records. Polls mean squat, that does not produce favorites when using class differences bucko. I get it, your son doesn't want Stephens...grab a whistle, watch some NFL live, and get out there and coach. But until then...let the professionals do their job. Adair will NOT attract a coach with much success, it is located squarely in the armpit of KY, has way too many downsides, and there usually needs to be a teaching job to go with the coaching job. And unlike popular belief you have to be certified in that subject area to get that job. Settle down, you'll be lucky to beat those teams we listed once or twice over the next 20 years....you don't know what you got til its gone! Gay is a good coach, you were lucky to get him in the first place.

That is why players don't get to pick coaches, adults do. If they want to play they will. Don't put too much stock in spring football, Im sure Adair shares a bunch of kids to different sports. Under Travis they've beaten teams like Ft. Campbell, Monroe, LaRue, Taylor, Russell....all teams that prior to Coach Gay they would never have been "favored" (not sure who decides who's favorite...Vegas doesn't do odds on high school football). Whomever they select will inherit a good club...it will be ok, take a breath. In the end it will matter more about the staff they can put together, not just who the HC is. I disagree. The QB issue is part of WHY there is an opening...it does pertain. Perhaps not ALL of why, but certainly a chunk of the pie.

The story I have heard is indeed as you are alluding to. QB's daddy has too much money for Jr. to be a wing-t QB. Read between the lines. Coach Martin deserved better.

I think it was mentioned earlier that the current assistants coaches were continuing off season. But not really sure what's going on.

I would say mid may before anyone is interviewed or hired.
