Marion and Jtown are both filled.

Be really tough to commute from McCracken County every day. Lol
-
You are correct Harry. From Nelson County, his dad was a hecuva basketball coach and with ties to the area he should be a long term guy! Tough road ahead for a few years, but no doubt he will do well over the long haul!

Henry County, Corbin, Bourbon County....all have indoor practice facilities (they service more than just football)

I can't wait to see the ESPN 30 for 30 on this one!!

Is Tony Lewis out at Henderson County?
Dark Horse78 replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
Small school, no teaching position, and a lack of concern for getting the best coach they can and then finding a spot for him is VERY common. It's not always about hiring the BEST candidate, but rather one that they can FIT into open slots. Perhaps that's the case?? -
Former KY HS coach Shadon Brown

Good for ShaDon, love seeing KY guys succeed at any level! -
Ballard has been filled. Waiting on it to be official. Current assistant from TN was a head coach in eastern KY before moving south to the Franklin area. Should hear something soon.
-
Left on his terms to be an assistant at LWC. Good gig for someone to walk into!
-
Travis is very good at everything he does, congrats to him and his endeavors!

100% from the horses mouth, Josh Jaggers nor any relation are interested in Dunbar.
-
With what I have heard in the application pool, he's the only one worth hiring in terms of track record.

I think to some extent we are making a mountain out of a mole hill. If you are in a 6 team district that means you have 5 district games. One year you will have 3 away and the other 2 away. Lets say the distance is 171 miles for a district game vs 35 (just pulling this out of my tail) there is a considerable difference...I agree. However, this is not a budget buster. You're not playing 10 district games on the road. If the extra 1000 breaks the district then the issue ISN'T sports and travel it's a much bigger problem. Travel isn't really the issue IMO in several cases, but it makes for good smoke screen not to play in a tough district when the move up in class could make for an easier district overall. Just saying...

Wow, didn't see this one coming at all.

The KHSAA is meeting to address it, so one can only assume all the scheduling that teams have been doing for the past few months could go directly out the window. Interesting is how 2A will see Desales and CAL potentially move out and how much tougher 5A could get with South Warren moving up. Lots of interesting possible moves for the KHSAA. Even more interesting will be to see if the KHSAA will let teams move up in class or tell them to stay put.

Valley filled by Crad Jaggers right?
