Open Job: Louisville Valley (Re-Opened)

Featured Replies

Pretty sure this is for sure, however no details yet.

What!?! Pretty big deal if this is true...... Any explanation?

Any word on what the deal is at Valley? This is the second time this year they've been hunting for a head football coach, and apparently their girls basketball coach is gone now as well.

I've heard some things he was promised have not happened, so he was getting out. Also heard he maybe going to Montgomery County.

Is Alan Campos a candidate? His son is the QB, and he played for U of L, Dallas Cowboys, bounced around the NFL a few years and played a little arena ball.

@ Pete W, not saying I told you so.............. But I told you so. :-)

Could Jaggers be taking the Nelson job?

Why would Nelson hire him when he wasn't coaching there last year and he left them late in the year for another job? Don't think there is ANY chance that will happen. My question is what happened for him to leave all of a sudden? He was only there on the job for a couple months i think. Strange.

I heard Billy Martin is taking the Nelson County job.

Without big and little campos, Valley will just be the Valley of old. I look for them to leave this program. I'm hearing 6a. Taking all bets.

This is all on Coach J has nothing to do with the school. He had job in the building he wanted with a couple perks (believe it or not) and a team with some solid players returning including Campos as one stated above and the top 1-2 receiver in the state im that class.

The coach I believe has personal issues going on and couldn't commit. He had not been going to any weightlifting sessions after school (that previous year teams asst coaches were doing)and in return was unable to form any relationship with any of the players. Fact I bet only a handful of the players even seem him or know who he is and vice versa.

If I was a betting man this job will go to campos (which from what I hear he wants to be at valley and really has no intentions of leaving) or to another guy with some local coaching experience and also ties to school. If not what could have been one of the better season since the late 90's for valley will turn into a big mess. & what a shame as from what I hear they have some talent to build off last years season.

Who knows what'll happen. It is Jcps.

He had a good year last year with enough returning to have another successful year. Where in 6A could he go without penalty of sitting out?

Not sure where they could go, not quite sure on transfer rules. I am sure all and hope all works out well for all involved ( former coach, school, and players). I'm sure they all will land on solid ground. Again not sure what happen but the coach Jaggers seemed like great guy/coach from what I've read on his coaching success and and the kids of course (as all do regardless of the school they attend & play for) deserve the best. Hope all works out for the best for all parties.

Should be competitive in the Louisville area. I heard that Holy Cross of Louisville and desales have a handful of young talent coming.

I think if Campos gets the job he will keep the program going in the right direction. Great football IQ and is dedicated to the kids. Wish him and Valley some success.
