Open Job: Louisville Valley (Re-Opened)

Featured Replies

This is all on Coach J has nothing to do with the school. He had job in the building he wanted with a couple perks (believe it or not) and a team with some solid players returning including Campos as one stated above and the top 1-2 receiver in the state im that class.

The coach I believe has personal issues going on and couldn't commit. He had not been going to any weightlifting sessions after school (that previous year teams asst coaches were doing)and in return was unable to form any relationship with any of the players. Fact I bet only a handful of the players even seem him or know who he is and vice versa.

If I was a betting man this job will go to campos (which from what I hear he wants to be at valley and really has no intentions of leaving) or to another guy with some local coaching experience and also ties to school. If not what could have been one of the better season since the late 90's for valley will turn into a big mess. & what a shame as from what I hear they have some talent to build off last years season.

Who knows what'll happen. It is Jcps.

Not so fast my friend. Jaggers was promised 1-2 coaches could go with him and be hired in the building, he was told Monday that was not likely anymore. He is in the building...but lets use that loosely. He is doing ISS in the middle school and was disappointed he wasn't able to get into the high school at any point during the day to recruit the hallway. You are right that they return an honorable mention WR (not top 1 or 2 in the state) and were on pace to have another 6-7 win season, which is a darn good year for Valley high. Coach Jaggers is going through a really difficult personal time in his life, one that he did not foresee when he took the job...he has to put his family first and that's exactly what is happening here. Im sure both parties are disappointed in how this has played out.

I agree with the 6-7 wins with a little luck maybe more next year. However the middle school and hs are in the same building at valley. Also, because of various rules in place in the district to promise anyone jobs at any school.

However, yes unfortunately unforeseen circumstances arose and I think that is more of the main reason for the coach having to resign. Good insight and I also agree that family should always come first no matter what. Idk what these circumstances may be, but Kudos to coach Jaggers for choosing to take care of family and home life first and foremost. That is something that some coaches neglect at times these days so to see him putting what is important first is nice. I agree both parties are probably disappointed at the sudden change of events. It is said that everything happens for a reason so maybe what is happening is just another example of that. Hopefully the kids at the school will soon have their new coach and have a good season and also hopefully all works out for coach Jaggers and he is able to get back in the coaching game soon.

looks like its off the KHSAA website

Campos will get this one. Lots of football knowledge and a good motivator

Campos was "given" the job before the last hire. AD wanted him there but Principal wanted someone "in House". Hopefully the Principal makes the right call now and not keep the program on hold.

Tough situation for the kids. Its June 1st and no coach. Hopefully it is someone that can hit the ground running.
