Randy Parker Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Incoming speedy Trinity High School slot receiver Rondale Moore, a rising junior who is transferring from New Albany, is garnering recruiting interest this summer from multiple major colleges, including the University of Louisville, University of Kentucky and Indiana University. The 5-foot-8, 170-pound Moore, who made The Courier-Journal’s Southern Indiana All-Area first team last year, picked up his first scholarship offer – from UK – at a camp in early June. Indiana most recently offered after he attended camp there and was clocked in the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds, according to his personal trainer, Chris Vaughn. He also camped at U of L, which hasn’t offered but continues to evaluate him. Louisville, Kentucky and Indiana looking at Trinity WR Rondale Moore | | USA Today High School Sports
Randy Parker Posted July 31, 2016 Author Posted July 31, 2016 Also from the article: Last season at New Albany, Moore rushed for 688 yards (7.9 per carry) and caught 38 passes for 464 yards. He said he enjoys playing a multipurpose role in which he takes handoffs and catches quick passes like slants and screens. He also threw for two touchdowns last season. He mentioned Stanford multipurpose back/receiver Christian McCaffrey as another of his favorite players.
Randy Parker Posted July 31, 2016 Author Posted July 31, 2016 Sounds like he'll be a major difference maker for the Rocks. Does anyone have any other information on him?
thsrocks Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Come see him and the rest of the Rocks at Green-White scrimmage this Friday at Marshall Stadium. 7PM is scheduled start time.

Xtiger69 Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Really???? He just decided all the sudden after 2 years at NA he wants to go to T really it makes my laugh!
psychicscubadiver Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 (edited) Really???? He just decided all the sudden after 2 years at NA he wants to go to T really it makes my laugh! Shrug, it makes sense to me. He's just now starting to get noticed by a few colleges and he knows that playing for Trinity will give him a chance to compete against some top notch programs. He is more likely to get noticed by the big D-1 programs and improve his stock playing for Trinity. It could be that he always planned to attend Trinity for football, but waited until his junior year to save on tuition since colleges won't really care about what he did as a FR and SO. Cause he wouldn't have gotten an SEC offer if he didn't attend Trinity? Hasn't played a down yet and is getting plenty of attention from all kinds of schools. I am going to go with NA wasn't going to be in title contention and he transferred to a school that is. Recruiting isn't going to get better because he's at Trinity, it's going to get better because he play on that level.
TheDeuce Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 If you don't think a kid will get more looks at Trinity than he does at NA then I don't know what to tell you...

There's SEC and there's SEC. Getting recruited by UK is one thing. Having a shot at Alabama or Ole Miss is different. New Albany wasn't going to get him the notoriety he needs so he moved to a school that will. Trinity is talked about on the national level; being a key player on such a team will get him further.
Rock85 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 This has a bad vibe and smell all over it! I thought the stink about Herron would be brought up first on this board. :sarcastic:

National Champion rosters are full of kids who didn't win the big one. If you can play, that's all a program like Alabama concerns itself. Don't get me wrong, nice feather in his hat, but has little to do with getting a bigger offer. Offers will come from bigger schools because other schools are offering. It's a domino effect, one university offers and others want in because they don't wanna miss out (keep in mind big schools over offer all the time!). WHO you play for can help with exposure, but if he's already on the SEC radar then that part no longer is a concern. KY has had Alabama players that never won a championship or their high school teams talked about on a "national level"...it really isn't as big a deal as you think. You can play on that level, or you can't.
RockinGa Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 It is a big deal recruiting wise. More college coaches walk through Trinity than they do NA so it's opening up some opportunities that he would not have had there. If he's a top recruit in the nation he'll get seen anywhere but he sounds more like a three star he'll benefit from being at Trinity. I see this stuff happen all the time in Georgia which makes it hard to build a program.
