  1. FSU has had good wins. At Clemson without Winston, Notre Dame when they were ranked and undefeated, and Louisville. Granted they dont look great now and may not be ranked. But they get there best from everybody and they keep winning. If your gonna argue quality wins. Who exactly has Miss St. beaten? Auburn is the only team they have beaten that is still ranked and they shouldnt be with 3 losses. SEC keeps them ranked.
  2. Because they finished the year #1 and returned the Heisman trophy winner and have had high expectations all year starting off #1. Miss. St wasnt even ranked which means they were expected to be a middle of the road SEC West team like always. Bama, Auburn, LSU, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss were picked a head of them. FL. St has done nothing to lose the #1 ranking. They have beaten good teams. Doesnt matter how they do it they just do it. Until they are beaten they should be #1. No one loss team should have been ahead of them.
  3. Fl. St. should have been #1 all year. They are defending champs and are undefeated. Miss. St had a nice run but I saw somewhere they werent even preseason top 20.
  4. Not a UK fan but they looked scary good. Their length and athleticism is off the charts. Only way they get beat is if they play teams or a team knocks down shots from the perimeter. You are not going to score or be successful againts the Cats inside. They can challenge all night and they dont have to worry about fouling with their depth. I also thought Kansas was terrible. UK had a lot to do with it. Kansas is #5 on name only to me. They kept trying to drive all night. UK frustrated them early and they never recovered. Kansas lost 10 games last year and still was considered a top team. I dont get the love for them.
  5. I heard they could have played this game at the park. Neither team ran a play. All one on one drive to the basket.
  6. I believe so. Honestly I thought the game was over also so I wasn't really paying a whole lot of attention to detail. It was kind of hard to determine the 25 sec play clock. The officials stopped Fairdale from working theirs. Complained they were not starting it right. So the officials had control of that. I want to say there was around 26.5 secs left when they ran their last play. May be off a few.
  7. Doss got a first down with around 1:30 left. Took a delay of game penalty with around 15 secs left. Only had to kneel down on 3rd down and game was over. They somehow fumbled and Fairdale got the ball. First play was a Quick 12 yd TD, pat was blocked. Fairdale Squibbed kick and Doss immediately downed it with 6 secs left. Doss had two plays before OT. In OT, Doss Fumbled on the first play and Fairdale scored on their second play. Crazy game. Proof a game is never over until the final horn. Doss athletic director tweeted out Doss is in Victory formation, gonna win this win 6-0. Tweeted too soon
  8. Nothing on Cameron Reed of Eastern. He has signed with New Orleans. I will take Ballard as the top threat to Trinity. They are nver without talent.
  9. I would put Ballard at #2. Still dont think the others are better. Im also hearing the Dow may return if he is ruled ineligible at Mercer Co.
  10. My List 1. Original dream game 2. 80 title game 3. 86 Conference title game vs Memphis St. 4. 86 title game 5. 83 semifinal loss to Houston. Hard to like a loss but that was an unbelievable game. Dunks, Blocked shots, and Guy Lewis towel toss. 6. 13 Title game 7. 13 semi final game vs Wyoming 8. 80 NCAA game vs LSU. We supposedly had no chance to beat them 9. 86 NCAA game vs North Carolina 10. UT game in Pitino's first year when Reece Gaines hit all those 3's in last 30 secs to win.
  11. True. However, they are in a tough district and last year was the first time coach Mingus made it to the regional. I agree the timing doesn't seem right.
  12. Some tournaments pay expenses or part of expenses, the rest the school/team fundraises. City of Palms, Beach Ball, and Whataburger in Texas pays all expenses for teams. Without any help from the tournament this would cost at least 20-25 k depending on how many you take care of in your program.
  13. New rule passed says you cannot scrimmage either. You also only get two scrimmages per year.
  14. Kentucky Schools cannot play Prep schools like Oak Hill. what happens if they both make the finals?
  15. Twitter reports have Desales coach Mingus stepping down and former Desales and Male coach Tom Crews taking over. Heard this would happen eventually since Crews returned to Desales but not in the middle of preseason. Crews had a lot of success in his fist tenure there. With a lot of interest now in Desales from the Catholic kids look for them to be a force in the 6th region.
  16. Great turnaround. Doing it the right way. The program had lost 15 straight before turning it around against a tough schedule. Coach Wright has put together a solid staff. Renardo Foster former UofL player is on staff. Has brought them some toughness. Good luck the rest of the way.
  17. They will boycott again. It hurt Catholic in the pocketbook thats why they agreed to it. Catholic gets the reputation of recruiting again and their teams improve to where they where in the past other public schools wont play them either. Gets expensive traveling to find games. I wish Jeff. co had the same policy but will never happen
  18. Point guard tore his ACL in the spring. Has he recovered yet?
  19. I understand that. Why is this being put on? This a fundraiser for Dunbar? Looks like a big aau tournament. This time of the year im ready for KY high school basketball.
  20. Ky teams usually do well in this tournament. A lot of those teams have talent but are not coached. I bet Trinity makes the semi finals.
  21. We just look un-prepared in a lot of areas especially special teams. Quick fumbles at least on punt a game. Offensively we looked confused and have multiple procedures called. Bonnafon showed he cant read defenses. Im just surprised that a Petrino coached offense would be so out of sync in game 7. The defense has been incredible. If the offense doesnt get it going they are gonna wear down.
  22. According to Petrino's comments in the courier he called the spike. He has a special fourth down play they thought guaranteed them a TD. Problem is Clemson was prepared. Their defensive coordinator said he ran the same play at WKU last year and it worked. They called a Defensive play designed to stop this play. They were prepared. The last series was a debacle.
  23. Not saying they will but they should. If its a POE they should do their jobs. Just like the colleges did. Teams had to adjust. It will only cause Louisville teams trouble in the post season.. It happens every year in the 6th. The 6th usually alternates with the 5th and 8th regions and there is always issues cause those officials call the region tighter. The 5th has done the 6th region the last two years and there were probably more T's called in the tournament on the players than the whole regular season. Including PRP's Harris getting tossed and missing region final and state tournament. The district that has Butler/Iroquois/Doss/Desales was a slug fest. Coaches got upset caused they called fouls. They should have called more fouls. Nothing worse than seeing a ballhandler manhandled in the press.
