Waggener losses it’s two toughest and top defensive players in Ingram and Maddox to graduation. If everyone stays they will be very deep and ready to make the next step in the region, returning 9 of their top 11 including three starters. Rumors are that PF Kevin Kirby and SG Tony Washington are going to Fern Creek and point guard Brandon Wells to Central. If this happens they will lose 4 starters and three of top 4 back court players, along with top two low post players. Hill and Krathalm will be the only big’s left and super freshman (sophomore to be) Devon Cooper will have to burden more of the load then he did last year. So Waggener will move to the top of the 7th or stay middle of the pack.

It is Jefferson County a "change of address" is all that is needed, happens every year.

Wells was playing with Central yesterday. Interesting since technically you cant practice until school is out, only "open Gym," how well he knew their system. A change of address shouldnt come into play with Cedntral. They are like Manual in they have no district. Kids apply to Central and if they dont make it academically they can be put out. Its always interesting In Louisville to see who transfers. You usually know by the first or second summer event. Nothing is ever done.

If he is already playing with Central, he must already be enrolled with Central. Otherwise Central could get into some trouble.

Pity if what O'Neill's managed to put together at Waggener falls apart. It's been fun watching that develop the last few seasons.

No pity at all. When you don't build your program the right way these things happen. Everyone in the city knows how those kids got there. Wells is still in school at Waggener from what i have heard.

They got there the same way kids in this town get anywhere.

Not every coach in the city does it. Things might come completely apart if the whole truth of things get out.

Fern Creek is the new Waggener. Look for the same thing to happen to them in a few years. Do it the right way. AAU is killing high school sports and ethics...and we all know there are no ethics involved when it comes to AAU.

Agreed! He is baby sitting the Ky Gators. Sat on their bench during state aau's. Soon as things dont go the kids way they bame the HS coach and start transferring.
