  1. I wouldn't call it an upset. I thinks X sometimes struggles with athletic teams especially in the post season. I wasn't that impressed with X when I saw them earlier in the year. Waggener is a team that can get it going and be dangerous. Somewhat surprised they would lose an 18 point lead. Where was this game played?
  2. Love the post season. Down 18 and come back and win. I'm looking forward to the Ballard/Trinity matchup especially since they don't play in regular season no more.
  3. Final. Jalen Perry (25 points), Anthony Eaves (23) lead No. 3 Ballard (29-2) into 7th Region semi vs. No. 1 Trinity.
  4. Wow. Looks like X lead most of the game.
  5. Trinity over Male 56-39. Ballard rolling by 76-49 late in the 4th. St.X and Waggener are tied with 4.1 left. Eastern rallying down 6 to Manual.
  6. Desales three with 4.1 secs left wins it for Desales. Huge win at PRP. They don't lose many at home.
  7. No surprise here. Double Tech's on a PRP/Desales players Stevenson and Shellman. 5th region officials cant keep with the game in the 6th.
  8. I will take the winner of the PRP/Desales game to advance to Rupp. Unfortunately for the 6th, the 5th region refs will be calling the games for the third straight year. They are awful. All they do is call technicals. The past two years there were more T's called in the regional tournament on kids than than all of the regular season. Cant understand why all the other regions rotate and the 6th again gets the 5th every year.
  9. Solid road conference win. Very ugly game on both sides. This was a huge win for Louisville after the dismissal of Jones. I thought they played terrible but got down 13 and continued to scrap and play hard to find a way to win. If they had lossed this game with 3 possible losses at the end of the season could have been crushing. With no time to prepare for a monday night game without Jones I will take the win. Now if they struggle from here on out with prep time knowing Jones is gone we could be one and done in both the ACC and NCAA tourney.
  10. After watching Desales at Fairdale I would put them ahead of Bullitt East. They are to inconsistent. I may even put Fern Creek ahead of PRP they have not been very impressive lately and wasn't the other night at Fairdale. Good updates all year. Appreciate your time and efforts with the updates. This weather could cause some cancellations and loss of practice time at a crucial part of the season with districts starting next week.
  11. I will take the Dawgs in an upset. Should have beaten Desales in the LIT losing 63-55. Fairdale hit only 12/28 from the free throw line with their freshman point guard missing 10 in a row in the 4th qt. Fairdale seems to have taken care of some chemistry issues. Give Desales credit for winning but I'm not impressed with their Schedule. Not sure they have a signature win.
  12. Redman left when they closed the doors to non traditional kids (James Quick). Those doors have been opened back up. I heard from a former head coach that the Male football coach gets 15 spots a year. Male realized without it they couldnt compete with Trinity. Has helped Football but not in basketball. Male has had several transfers in basketball that were from non-traditional middle schools that have since transferred out. As for Renner, I only see him leaving coaching at Ballard for an administrative job.
  13. That job can also be a miserable job. A lot of expectations from parents/alumni and the wrong kind of parent involvement.
  14. Fairdale: Maurice Morris Jermaine Brown Carlos Turner Rayshawn Morris Harry Allen
  15. Agree. Lots of talent wasted out there. However you can have all the desire, work ethic, attitude etc but if your just not talented wont matter. All that might make you a good player but to be great you need talent.
  16. Common opponents are sometimes hard to use because some private schools dont play the same schedule. Would hate for a seeding to be decided by the LIT ratings when some teams play a tougher schedule than others.
  17. A lot of districts use point differential between the teams which could lead to J-Town as the two-seed. Interesting for the 3 or 4 seed. Dont Think East would want Fern Creek in the first round. I see as 1. East 2. J-Town 3. Fern Creek 4. Whitefield. Tie breakers rules should be on file with the KHSAA.
  18. Dunbar pretty much dominated this game. Led by 13 points most of the game and answered every Manual run. PLD was impressive today.
  19. Would be hard to believe hes still on the team after being arrested for allegedly assaulting his coach.
  20. Dawgs outscored East 21-10 in third quarter and answered all of East Runs. Fairdale got balanced scoring from eight players tonight led by Jr's DJ Jones 15 pts and Dakota Collie with 13. Tyler Sharpe led East with 19 and Brandon Klefot added 17. Not much else from East who didn't shoot well form the field 22/64.
  21. Just saw on Twitter Doss player aned parent arrested for assault on Coach Williams
