Maybe Butler has discipline and expectations that these kids couldn't live up to. Cant say on here what happened but it wasn't a good thing. I applaud the coaching staff for not sacrificing discipline wins for wins.

The LIT and Regional finals back in the 90's was in Broadbent. Not a bad venue but no atmoshphere. The seats are too far away from the floor. The fairboard has so many other options having the LIT there is nightmare plus the rent. The LIT was at the Convention cneter downtown one year and it was nice. Again parking and the cost of rent made the tournament lose money. If they have other events going on parking will be a nightmare there also. No one wants to pay $8 per day to park either. Valley has added more parking behind the football field and you can park at the elementary school behind the football field also. You may have to walk. However, its very well lit and secure. JCPS is a aware of the complaints and tries to improve it each year. I'll be honest if my team is in the LIT finals or regional finals I wouldnt care if it was at Wyndotte Park. I would find a way to get there and park.

Quit whining about Valley its a great venue. They improve it every year. The gym is nice and plenty of locker room space. The locker rooms at the Gardens smelled like Urine. Parking was terrible at The Gardens and Bellarmine. You would lose money at Freedom hall with the rent plus the $8 parking. The Gardens charged as much as $5 for parking. What is convenient? It took forever to get through traffic at Bellarmine and finding a place to park downtown. Valley has added new parking in the back. As for the system that selects and seeds the team its not perfect but neither was the LIT ratings that seeded the teams. The top 4 seeds are correct. Maybe not in the right order but correct. Your not going to make everyone happy so just show up and play. Usually the best teams win.

Word around the KOB is its a discipline issue. I don't think he has even attended the games. Hearing Doss has lots of internal issues going on. They are extremely talented. If they get things figured out in house they will be a tough out come regional time.

I was at the game would disagree with the calls on Pangallo. All three fouls were legit. He picked up two fouls and should have played smarter. Doss cleared out and Weaver beat him off the dribble and reached and bumped him. Legit call. Pangallo going out changed things some but NCC still controlled the first half. Two keys was NCC went away from inside. They should have pounded it inside every time down the floor. The other was Doss Quickness took over. The only way they could stop penetration was to foul.

Transfer season has begun earlier this year. Usually happens in the summer during aau season.

Ballard was loaded last year with two Mr.Basketball candidates and couldnt get out of the region. Trinity style of play can also hurt them by allowing good teams to stay close. Close games can go either way in tournament time. They will be a tough out. However, after Ballard last year no team is guaranteed.

I like the rule. If I'm the losing coach I would want the game over as quickly as possible. I've been beat like that before and it's no fun. Really no fun coaching when your on the winning team either. Floor time is not going to help you unless it's practice. If you play your subs, chances are your gonna get beat worse. As for family, I would want the game over also. Parents just complain about getting embarrassed more than playing time. The only ones that get short changed are the subs on the winning team. But if your subs 8-12 you probably are JV players and have your own schedule of games.

The dawgs in an upset 21-20. Dawgs have played a solid schedule. The defense has improved holding a very talented Doss team to 6 pts. Doss scored 38 on them in the regular season. The dawgs love the cold weather. I hear N.Oldham has a really good running back. No turf at Fairdale so hopefully slows their running game some. Either way, Coach Wright deserves some coach of the year consideration. Took over a tough situation with 15 straight losses. He is a class guy and is bulilding the program the right way. Fairdale's confident hopefully that carries over

Yes he did. He played in the state tournament for Shelby Co. as a freshman. He was at N.Oldham for a bit cause thats were Levitch was and he was practically living with them. He never played there. Im not sure he was ever enrolled there. He sat out his sophomore year at Trinity.

If you can go from public to private and be eligible then there shouldnt be any transfer rules. It requires no change of address. Interested iin how this turns out since Darryl Hicks had to sit at Trinity after transferring from Shelby Co.

I believe so. Honestly I thought the game was over also so I wasn't really paying a whole lot of attention to detail. It was kind of hard to determine the 25 sec play clock. The officials stopped Fairdale from working theirs. Complained they were not starting it right. So the officials had control of that. I want to say there was around 26.5 secs left when they ran their last play. May be off a few.

Doss got a first down with around 1:30 left. Took a delay of game penalty with around 15 secs left. Only had to kneel down on 3rd down and game was over. They somehow fumbled and Fairdale got the ball. First play was a Quick 12 yd TD, pat was blocked. Fairdale Squibbed kick and Doss immediately downed it with 6 secs left. Doss had two plays before OT. In OT, Doss Fumbled on the first play and Fairdale scored on their second play. Crazy game. Proof a game is never over until the final horn. Doss athletic director tweeted out Doss is in Victory formation, gonna win this win 6-0. Tweeted too soon

Nothing on Cameron Reed of Eastern. He has signed with New Orleans. I will take Ballard as the top threat to Trinity. They are nver without talent.

I would put Ballard at #2. Still dont think the others are better. Im also hearing the Dow may return if he is ruled ineligible at Mercer Co.

True. However, they are in a tough district and last year was the first time coach Mingus made it to the regional. I agree the timing doesn't seem right.

Some tournaments pay expenses or part of expenses, the rest the school/team fundraises. City of Palms, Beach Ball, and Whataburger in Texas pays all expenses for teams. Without any help from the tournament this would cost at least 20-25 k depending on how many you take care of in your program.
