I'm hearing he got a few transfers in that will help the depth and athleticism of this team immediately. Should be interesting if they are allowed to play. All but one are coming from public schools to a private. I have no idea how many played varsity or even their names. This could also have a huge shake up in a district with 3/4 teams fighting for second behind PRP.

If you can go from public to private and be eligible then there shouldnt be any transfer rules. It requires no change of address. Interested iin how this turns out since Darryl Hicks had to sit at Trinity after transferring from Shelby Co.

Hicks was at North Oldham for a little bit before going to Trinity. Never understood why he didn't want to play for Collins.

Yes he did. He played in the state tournament for Shelby Co. as a freshman. He was at N.Oldham for a bit cause thats were Levitch was and he was practically living with them. He never played there. Im not sure he was ever enrolled there. He sat out his sophomore year at Trinity.

This happened a few years ago, Beth Haven some how got a kid who played maybe even started for PRP. He transfered in his Sr. year to Beth Haven and played. They loaded up with 2 or 3 transfers that year. 2011/12 I think.

BETH HAVEN

Coach: Michael Stinnett (second year).

Last season: 11-14, lost to Valley 80-65 in district first round.

Player to watch: G Victor Billingslea (6-1, Sr., 19 ppg, 8.3 rpg). “Victor is one of the most underrated players in the region,’’ Stinnett said about the transfer from Ballard. “Vic is a strong guard who can handle the ball and post up inside. He’s very versatile. He can do anything you want him to do on the high school level. He’s a nice player for us.’’

Other top players: G Austin Streble (6-0. Fr., 14 ppg); F Cody Mikel (6-3, So., 10.8 ppg, 7.3 rpg); G Joseph McNair (6-0, Sr.); G Duncan Barber (6-0, Jr.); G Jayln Allen (5-9, Fr.); F Ryan Gibson (6-3, Jr.); F Daythan Greathouse (6-4, Jr.).

Outlook: Streble played well as an eighth-grader last season and Mikel was outstanding as a freshman. “Last year, we were as young as any team in the state and I think it will pay off for us this year,’’ Stinnett said. “I expect us to be much improved. We will be more experienced, but once again we will be very young in several key positions.’’
