Doss twitter account has that they returned the fumble for a TD but the Fairdale Twitter account has a 12 yard TD pass. I would think it would be the latter. If it is the first, that is unbelievable.

With 11 seconds to go in the game Doss has a 6-0 lead and in Victory formation, Doss’s coach was told by the Ref that Fairdale was coming after the ball. Might have been 2nd or 3rd kneel down, Tyler Garcia smacks at the ball and Fairdale recovers the fumble (believe it was SR. Austin Weird) and I think Coach Wright was calling off the DAWGS at that time. Then Dylan Garcia (brother to Tyler Garcia) throws a pass to Max Cole for the TD, PAT was blocked. Score is now 6-6. Doss had 2 chances in regulation but failed. In OVERTIME Doss get the ball 1st and Cole Votaw hits the Doss player and causes a fumble, SR. Miko Santana recovers for Fairdale. Now it’s Fairdale’s turn Fairdale hands the ball off to Max Cole 2 times and wins the game! Sports fans it was a great game to report on. Good Luck to Fairdale and what a great season Doss had.

dawgs83 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) Doss got a first down with around 1:30 left. Took a delay of game penalty with around 15 secs left. Only had to kneel down on 3rd down and game was over. They somehow fumbled and Fairdale got the ball. First play was a Quick 12 yd TD, pat was blocked. Fairdale Squibbed kick and Doss immediately downed it with 6 secs left. Doss had two plays before OT. In OT, Doss Fumbled on the first play and Fairdale scored on their second play. Crazy game. Proof a game is never over until the final horn. Doss athletic director tweeted out Doss is in Victory formation, gonna win this win 6-0. Tweeted too soon Edited November 15, 2014 by dawgs83

Honestly I thought the game was over also so I wasn't really paying a whole lot of attention to detail. It was kind of hard to determine the 25 sec play clock. The officials stopped Fairdale from working theirs. Complained they were not starting it right. So the officials had control of that. I want to say there was around 26.5 secs left when they ran their last play. May be off a few.

I was at the Doss-Fairdale game and #73 from Fairdale swatted the ball right as the center was snapping. Very well timed play by #73 but shouldnt there have been a flag? Just curious to know the rule here....
