dawgs83
Twitter reports have Desales coach Mingus stepping down and former Desales and Male coach Tom Crews taking over. Heard this would happen eventually since Crews returned to Desales but not in the middle of preseason. Crews had a lot of success in his fist tenure there. With a lot of interest now in Desales from the Catholic kids look for them to be a force in the 6th region.
Sandman
Timing raises my eyebrow on this move. I'm not sure why it would happen now. DeSales is a solid program, and will continue to do well. Crews won a lot of games there the first time around. It's a good place for his system. But, the Colts are always well coached, so it's not like the program needed a savior. dawgs83
True. However, they are in a tough district and last year was the first time coach Mingus made it to the regional. I agree the timing doesn't seem right.
BasketballJunkie3
Mingus took a teaching job at an Elementary school and wouldn't be able to get to practice until 5 or so. That is the reason for the timing of the change...nothing shady or anything like that.
