Anybody heard anything about this kid transferring from Ohio Co.?

Yep. The word is he's headed to Apollo.

Wow. I'm assuming he won't be eligible until this time next season?

Lots of rumors out there right now for sure. I would temper all of those back for now and just wait and see. Apollo needs to figure out how to use the talent they have before they worry about adding anyone else to the fold.

Is this high school or college we are talking about? Sounds to me like there might be some sort of issue here.

He has just enrolled at Apollo. Family is moving to Owensboro

He is going to take somebody's minutes. That is a good problem for the Coach Barker IMO. The homegrown players won't like it much though.

That will be two Mr. Basketball candidates on the same team. Trace chose a quality school, that will push and nurture him in positive ways. So, Ohio County has lost Trace Young and Justin Miller. What's up with that?

Transfer season has begun earlier this year. Usually happens in the summer during aau season.

The Canadian jet stream is dipping south this winter.

So, if the family is moving to Owensboro he will eligible right away?

I'm surprised this story hasn't gotten more attention. The top Sophmore in the state, and a top 75 recruit by some sources, is about to team up with possibly the top JR in the state in Eli Wright.

Its a huge story for sure. I dont know that he will see the court for Apollo this season but its a major addition going forward either way you slice it. I know there were some issues in Ohio County that prevented Trace from reaching his potential there. I think he gave it a couple of chances more than most kids would have in his position. I think if he truly had his choice, he would have rather it worked out with Ohio County but when youre talking about a kid thats being recruited on the level he is, you dont have time to mess around. I think this is the best thing for his future and at the end of the day, that most important.

Khsaa should investigate, but they won't. They'll let it slide like they do everything. Just gives more power to those schools to go after the best players who are on struggling teams. Its a shame, this is high school, not the NCAA.
