Trinity dominated every aspect of this game. They also got Theineman back. He'd been out with an injury. I still believe they're the team to beat in state.

Thirteen players scored for Trinity. I think it's obvious that Doss did not put forth its best effort.

My guess with Doss is there may be some chemistry problems. I had heard after the game the Doss team, coaches, and possibly parents got in a bit of a squabble. Anyone else hear anything more about this?

Didn't hear that but did hear rumblings at KOB. What a shame to have the talent they have coming off a strong LIT run and cant come together. Selfishness will get you beat when it counts.

Most high school teams have these issues. They tend to rear their head a little more when you've been dominated start to finish in a game like this. Trinity played their last 5 players against Doss' starting 5 at one point in this game.

If what I heard was accurate, it was more than what happens even on an irregular basis with most teams that have issues after a bad game. I heard perhaps a mini-scuffle happened before the team returned to the locker room. In the locker room it would not be the first time a scuffle between teammates broke out. Outside the locker room in a public display it does not look good when team members, coaches, and even parents take it to a level of what I was told. I was just asking if anyone at the game actually seen what supposedly took place immediately after the game.

On the other hand, sometimes an escalation like this can snap a team into focus once everything bubbles to the surface and it can be worked out. If that indeed is the result, Doss would be the prohibitive favorite in the 6th region to advance to Rupp in March.

Sorry. I was there, but left at the beginning of the 4th quarter.

Not a good decision by Doss to pick this game up. Doss has played a solid schedule up to this point and has clearly separated themselves as the favorite in the 6th region. This game was not needed and with a team that is showing character issues could destroy them. This is the time of the year when you refocus after tournaments, play and beat the teams in your region and get ready for the post season. You don't want to give other teams the thought that you are not playing well. sometimes coaches out think themselves thinking you need to play tough teams down the stretch. The 6th region will provide enough tough games. Just my opinion.

I was there - by the time I saw what was happening, there was arguing and pushing and shoving involving both adults and players. Security appeared and the situation was defused relatively quickly. My understanding is that it started with a player's parent confronting Coach Williams. Very unfortunate. I think Doss has some issues they are dealing with.

Doss was playing without Tyler Jefferson, although Trinity played so well I'm not sure he would have made much of a difference.

The one time I saw Doss play he was very impressive, certainly a difference maker for them with his size and athleticism. Likely wouldn't have made a difference in the outcome of this game but things do have a tendency to snowball on high school teams and not having one of your best can contribute to that.

Just saw on Wave 3 news that assault charges against a Doss player and dad could be filed for attacking Coach Williams. Current investigation going on and will come down to whether or not Coach Williams presses charges.

I heard from a fair source that charges would be filed. And I saw pretty much the entire melee (I didn't want to open the first post with it). It got really, really bad really, really fast. Parent and player were out of line 100%. It was a meltdown.

On the news again tonight. Showed a picture of the parent and said the coach was filing charges.

Sad, sad news.. This kid played for Ballard his freshman & sophomore years, then transferred to Doss because he didn't make the Varsity cut. I guess he now he not really in Coach Williams rotation, so father got mad...
