Did Hatton show up?

Once again proving tryouts do not matter ...the Steward kid from Fleming County had a great tryout.. These all star games are a glorified AAU games.. It's about athletes and slashers and who can get theirs.. While I'll admit it's important ..kids fall under the radar if that's not what they do best.. Basketball is a team game and it's a shame that these evaluations (and AAU) don't reward that.

I guess O'Hearn was tired of seeing Bach.

:lol2::lol2::lol2:

No Trent Gilbert is what stands out the most to me.

I think i heard gilbert didnt show up-----wouldnt swear to it.

Anybody have any info on Chris McGraw? I don't recall ever hearing of him.

Would agree with Steward. Didnt like Ruthstats or Edwards tryouts. Not a criticism of their ability just their tryout. Would have taken Shaw over Ruthstatz and Cory Thomas over Edwards. Edwards coach was on the selection committe. Trent Gilbert didnt tryout. Wasnt impressed with Hatton, Bach, and Harris of PRP so I guess the tryouts hurt some.

Chris is a good selection. He is big and strong and can help inside. Didnt get a lot of promotion playing for Western. He is a good choice and had a good tryout.

Good luck guys.

I don’t think it is fair to turn this thread into a bash fest about who selected the players and who didn’t make the team. It does make for good conversation, but in my opinion, we should make it about who was selected. These are the kids who showed up, worked hard, and were selected. It is a great honor that should be celebrated. The KABC Coaches of the Year from each region worked together to select this team, not one individual person was in charge of this task. I am sure the goal of these coaches was to select the team that would give Kentucky the best opportunity to beat Indiana. Indiana is loaded with D1 athletes and talent, and it looks like this roster is best suited to match up with them. There were several good players that didn’t make this team and I am sure it was a difficult decision for the coaches who selected it. With that being said, congratulations to the players who made the team. Beat Indiana!

Congrats to all who made it. I dint necessarily agree with the entire roster but they should be competitive

I do not think it really matters who the selections were,,we will not be competitive with In., just not enough talent..
