Chris is a good selection. He is big and strong and can help inside. Didnt get a lot of promotion playing for Western. He is a good choice and had a good tryout.

 

I agree very good selection, he was the only thing western had most of the year. (They did get a late transfer). Almost always doubled tripled team and still put up double doubles.

Once again proving tryouts do not matter ...the Steward kid from Fleming County had a great tryout.. These all star games are a glorified AAU games.. It's about athletes and slashers and who can get theirs.. While I'll admit it's important ..kids fall under the radar if that's not what they do best.. Basketball is a team game and it's a shame that these evaluations (and AAU) don't reward that.

IN should be very good. It will take a herculean task to be competitive with those guys. As other have said, don't agree with the picks but wish the guys much luck.

So politics and name recognition don't play a part in their selections? Their selections are based solely on the tryout?

 

Should players who are injured and unable to tryout be allowed to be on the team?

 

I get the sarcasm in your post but why not just pick the 12-15 players they want and go from there? Oh, because they make money off the tryouts also. I get it now.

Amazine to me all the "experts" on here that are just fans that so adamantly disagree with selections of teams. I can appreciate the passion but let's keep it in perspective. Scott Co had prom last week...therefore, I'd assume he went. He isn't the first to do so.

The absolute best players never have been and never will be selected to an all star team unless by pure accident of mathematical probability. NEVER will 100% of people agree on a selected team.

If the selection process is what keeps us getting our face kicked in by Indiana then shame on the people in charge here.

I felt the exact same way when I attended the tryouts for juniors on Saturday.

I attended the tryouts and was amazed/disappointed/shocked/angry at how it was done. If this game doesnt mean anything, then the tryouts were perfectly set up for that. It's a tryout. They've never practiced together. What exactly are they supposed to do? Run plays?

 

The tryout is NOT and NEVER will be the sole determining factor. A lot o these kids have been seen during the season by these coaches or during the tournament. That's where the coaches formed their opinions.
