  1. Its all beginning to be much clearer now.
  2. Easy on the hypnotic their friend. I'm sure those kids are fast, but I'd bet all my worldy possessions none of them run a 4.3 40. I haven't seen them at all or I'd bet they don't run 4.4 40s.
  3. A South Laurel win like this over a quality opponent like SW speaks volumes to me about the kind fo team Mercer Co. has this year. Russell & Belfry beware.:scared:
  4. or Jenks, De La Salle, Cal Poly, Massilon, Southlake Carroll
  5. I bet they would be glad to return the favor.:thumb:
  6. Funny how honesty makes people want to roll their eyes.
  7. I'll give Estill Co. one thing.......they'll play anybody, anytime, anyplace.:thumb:
  8. Ten years ago seems like more than a while back to me, but this match-up now wouldn't be as entertaining as it was then. The reason being is that Bluefield is still playing at the high level they were 10 years ago and Pikeville is far from it.
  9. Chris Phillips......and he was still faster than most.
  10. I'm giving them motivation.
  11. Seriously, we are talking East Ridge.
  12. So Corbin plays the #1 team in the mountains to a 2-0 game. South Laurel gets beat by a AA team 53-6 that goes by the name of Mercer Co. Corbin gets beat by South Laurel, and that leads me to a few obvious assumptions. 1. Mountain teams are down this year. 2. Mercer Co. is the team to beat in 2A. 3. Mercer Co. would be VERY hard to beat in 3A, too. The last one is debatable, but I stand firm on the first two.
  13. The smart money is on Elkins.
  14. Any mention so far on how ELkins has looked running the offense??
  15. Excellent point......D-1 coaches WILL NOT recruit a RB id he isn't 6'0 or above, unless he has phenomenal agility, vision, speed, etc. Gross & Howard were both adequate in all of these alreas, but their lack of height hurt them. Good luck to Clark this year and in college.
  16. Top 2.......Because I can't decide. Mike Bush Tim Couch
  17. Again......does anyone want to tell me and the rest of the BGP crew who aren't in the know what kind of offense and defense Mercer Co. runs? Thanks in advance.:thumb:
  18. That is THE BIG 3!!! 1-3 could be in any order, but based on what I have read, seen, and heard I would rate them like this. 1. Florida 2. Texas 3. California 4. Georgia 5. Ohio 6. Louisiana 7. Pennsylvania 8. Alabama 9. Mississippi 10. Michigan
  19. What kind of offense & defense does Mercer Co. run?
  20. IF you make the two-point conversion everyone says you are a genious, if you miss it everyone questions your play-calling abilities. Personally, I like the call. To me, it's a gut-feeling you have to go with and obviously Coach Haywood's gut was telling him go for the win. Bottom line, there are pros and cons to both going for the tie and going for two. You can argue about it all day if you must, but I trust the guy with 282 wins to make that decision as opposed to anyone on this board.
  21. My vote goes to either Ammons or Gordon. But I can see the points made about the 54 yard field goal, too.
  22. Belfry squeaked out a 7-6 win over NCC last week because their offense looked horrendous and the defense picked up the slack. If their offense takes a dramatic turn for the better, I say Belfry wins by a score of 21-10. If it hasn't improved, then the game could be 7-6, 14-13, or 14-7 in favor of either team.
  23. I flat-out like Dixie's uniforms, especially the helmet & the way the numbers are made.
