I am looking forward to seeing how well the tourney comes off. The arena is a super nice facility and since the vote went that way, I hope it is a huge success.

I hope you are right. I do think NL got the better draw avoiding SL and Clay, but they still better bring their A game. Old Roy has done his best coaching job this year considering he lost the region POY in Jackson and Bargo to graduation last year. I would love to see NL get the state tourney. I believe it would be their first time ever. They have taken Clay to the wire and have to believe they could actually get it done this year.

Is that official? Either way I completely agree. He loses Catie Jackson (last years region POY), and Katie Bargo and the team actual has a better season. He has only 2 seniors on this squad and IMHO, it is his best coaching job since he has been at NLHS. Congrats to Coach Bowling!!!! :thumb:

I think you will see young Canady with the ball in his hands more. He is a top notch playmaker. Their young QB shows some real upside as well. I think the Panthers will be pretty solid in 2010.

Not a surprise here. Clay rolls in their first postseason game. They will play the winner between North Laurel and Redbird for the district championship.

I believe he had 17 points and was the POG for Jackson County last night. The future is bright for the Generals, they are just very young right now. Good win for the Jags. Early in the season, this was the kind of game they let slip away. They have improved quite a bit this season.

I am trying to put together a U16 volleyball team to play tournaments over the summer. Where do I go to get started? I am starting from scratch? Is it AAU or another organization? Any help would be appreciated!!!

I agree, but I have a great deal of respect for Coach Lucas for being unwilling to throw Jay Cobb under the bus. Coach Cobb (who I really never liked but respect) is the man who hired him as an assistant and gave him that opportunity, and Lucas showed loyalty for that. I think it shows his character and I admire him for that. While that may have caused the Somerset administration to have some reservations, they did show great judgement in making Coach Lucas the head man. He deserved it based on what he did in a tough situation.

Unless you are near the front row on the floor, I would not get a floor seat. I understand that they will not be elevated and it you are past the first row or 2, vision could be a problem.

I'm not sure. I think he did sit for a little while that game with an injury and I am thinking he had around 272 yards rushing in the first half alone, but that is just my best memory of the halftime stats. He was money the entire night. It seemed that nearly everytime he touched the ball, he was making a big play.
