5 innings played ACS 2 NL 1 Sounds like a humdinger in the first round!

After 2 innings played ACS 2 NL 0 This is the 3rd meeting between these two teams, and ACS won both the previous meetings.

If Izzo does take the Cavs job, money would have to be on Lebron coming back. I can't see taking the job as your first pro job if you didn't know that arguably the best NBA player is coming back to your team. Take Lebron off that team, and they aren't even a playoff team IMHO.

The bench won that game. It was team effort with nearly every player who hit the floor for the Celtics giving something they needed. The only reason the Lakers didn't get blown out in the 4th quarter was because of one of the greatest players I have ever seen, Kobe Bryant hitting some amazing 3s to keep the Celtics within striking distance. Bottom line, this has been a very exciting series so far and appears that it could be a fantastic finish to the season.

Doc Rivers did something that too many coaches don't do, .... left his reserves in even when a few bad things happened (2 Ts). And it paid off. When the starters came back in, they were rested and ready to finish. I was convinced that Wallace needed to be off the floor after his T, but Doc left him in and he responded by hitting a gianormous 3. I was also impressed to see the starters up off the bench cheering their teammates on. That showed me a real TEAM trying to find a way to win, ... any way they could. That was enjoyable. That game was a lot of fun to watch. But if it weren't for Kobe hitting some amazing 3's, the 4th quarter could have turned into a very lopsided affair.

I would also add that both Gaines and Taylor are two of the nicest young ladies you will ever meet!

14 strikeouts, 0 walks, got past his nerves early but even with all the balls he threw, he didn't walk a batter. ended with 7 straight K's? One of the best debuts in major league history. I think he more than lived up to the expectations, especially given the hype on this kid. A very impressive first outing.

GRCs schedule will help them in Owensboro. Even when they lost, they were playing good teams. I think GRC wins this one, but expect it to be a low scoring 2 run margin. Just a hunch.

They shot 15 more FTs than the Celtics did. And as was said before, several were late in the game when the Lakers had to foul. The officials called it tight both ways. The difference in this game was Rondo, plain and simple. Rondo made it happen and Allen's shooting took the home court advantage away from the Lakers. NOTE TO LAKERS: You may want to box Rondo out and keep him off the boards.

Bad timing IMHO. I am not disputing what he is saying, but think that the timing is in bad taste.

Wooden was truly a national treasure who was not only a great coach, but a class act interested in molding boys into young men. RIP Coach.

Everyone in baseball, from Gallaraga to Leyland to the commish and so on have talked about what a good ump Joyce is. He made a mistake. It happens. He admitted it and quite obviously felt horrible about it. Joyce is human and made an error. He is not the first and will not be the last. The ONLY reason this is getting so much play is because the error cost Gallaraga a perfect game. How many balls/strikes are called wrong once you see the slo mo replay? It happens in every game. If anyone who has ever officiated a game in any sport truly believes they have never made a mistake, they are delusional. Just because he missed a call doesn't mean that he is unfit to be an umpire.
